Color Hues #32

Happy New Year!

Wishing everyone a safe am healthy 2022. We were thrown another curve ball this Christmas with Omicron, but hopefully life will get back to somewhat normal or as you hear all the time a 'new normal'. I've had both of my kids home for Christmas and New Years and it's been just the best. Lots of family time, games, movies, laughter and we even had an fire in the outdoor fireplace the other night bundled up with hot chocolate! So unusual for this time of the year but temperatures have been pretty mild and we have just a light layer of snow. I know winter is just starting but I'll take it.

It's time for a new color another challenge at the Color Hues! I hope you join us for Color Hues #32 red & purple. I used MFT Stamps Heart Art stamps and dies (now retired) with Catherine Pooler Flirty Fuchsia and Rockin' Red ink pads.

I'm excited to see what you create for the challenge!

Love the CAS design of this card, Tracey! I thought I knew every MFT stamp set, but this is one I've never seen. Love that it has three different sentiments. It's a perfect valentine. (Lots of snow falling now in Wisconsin where we're visiting my daughter and her family. Hopefully, the roads will be clear when it's time to head home later this week.) Happy New Year!

So happy you had family time over the holidays, Tracey! We ended up not seeing any family. Didn't want to risk the virus & weather not great. Really love your sweet card! Great design I may need to case!

Your card is delightful Tracey! I love the purple and red together. So glad you got to enjoy Christmas with both your kiddos. We did too, as Christopher and Allison were home from CA for the week. Unfortunately, we all ended up sick as well, but are on the mend. Thank you so much for your beautiful Christmas card! It is now proudly displayed in my craft space. Here's hoping for a healthy and prosperous new year!

This post brought a smile to my face! I am so glad you had such a great holiday surrounded by your kids! There is nothing better than having them home, I can agree! In fact...minutes ago my son and daughter-in-law just crossed the border to New Mexico and have nearly two more days of travel till they are home safe and sound. I will worry till then. As for your sweet Valentine card...I love the trio of hearts and the faint embossed background too! The sentiment is absolutely perfect! Happy New Year to you and yours!

These new colours are perfect for a Valentine card and I love your CAS design.
Glad you had visits from your kids, as did we, hopefully this Omnicron variant will not prevent more visits in the future. Here's to a happy and healthy New Year. :)
