How cow! It is May 31st, where have the last 5 months gone?

Here we are on the last day of the month and time to post the May edition of The 12 Kits of Occasions! Love Nancy Penir, Artful Notions, is our hostess with the mostess this month. She sent each of the team members a fabulous kit just full of the cutest farm fresh stamped images, die cuts, papers and embellishments.

I have to say the my cards literately just fell together on there own! Thank you Nancy, I had so much fun!

Jillibean Soup | Celebrate

I have a card up on the Jillibean Soup Bean Talk blog today using some fun images from the new 2 Cool For School clear stamps. You can make some original designs with Jillibean soup's clear stamp sets. I stamped some of the different sized cog stamps from the 2 Cool For School clear stamp set in ink colours that matched the paper in the 2 Cool For School paper collection pack along with a star from the Souper Celebration Puffy Stickers.

Ellen Hutson May Color Trends Challenge

I have a card today for the Ellen Hutson May Color Trends Challenge.
I think the inspiration for this month is absolutely fabulous.

I knew that I wanted to recreate the gorgeous galaxy sky for my background. I have never made one before but one time like the present to give it a try.  I used Distress Inks, water and Copic Opaque White on some Bristol Smooth cardstock and ended up making two. I couldn`t decide which one to use, so I asked my daughter to choose the one she liked best. Since the background was very busy I kept the rest of the card CAS with a few sweet images from the Essentials by Ellen So Matcha clear stamp set and the Essentials by Ellen So Matcha designer dies.

Where Creativity Meets C9 #21 and Inkspirational #160

Back in March when I was at Stamping Away in Kansas I as so lucky to come home with Posie Fill-in Stamp set from Concord & 9th and the Posie Fill-in Dies that were gifted to us when we were there. When I saw that the challenge at Where Creativity Meets C9 was floral and I saw Zsoka Marco's gorgeous card using this set I was inspired to get it out and make the exact same card--lol! Well I couldn't do that, I could use the same set and mix these Anemones with some fun purple inks for the Inkspirational Color Challenge Shades of Purple and Gold! I used Lavender Fields, Deep Iris and Midnight Violet for the flowers. The leaves were stamped with Golden Glitz Delicata ink.

Muse #266, Layton's Legacy and Freshly Made Sketches #336

Happy Monday! Time for new challenge at Muse!

For my card this week I created it for Lea Lawson's Layton's Legacy Challenge!

If you haven't heard about it let head over to Lea's blog and read all about this fantastic Card Drive Fundraiser. 

I used Winnie & Walter Welcome to the Family and Wishing You  stamps for my card today using the mood board above and this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! All the images were watercoloured with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers and Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours. The 'wishing you' sentiment was stamped in Delicata Golden Glitz ink.

I can't wait to see your card this week!

Happy Friday!

Spring  has finally sprung here in Muskoka!

Daffodils have popped up and the trees are full of buds--even some teeny tiny leaves are opening up.

MFTWSC #383 and Seize the Birthday

I never thought I would see the day that I would say the words "I am getting low on birthday cards!"
Well that day has come and time to start building my stash of birthday cards up again. Slipping in today with a card for the MFT Stamps Wednesday Sketch Challenge #383 and Seize the Birthday!

I started off by sponging some Abandoned Coral, Fosilized Amber and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks onto some Bristol Smooth cardstock and then cutting three MFT Stamps Big Balloons out, one in each colour. I made my own fishtail banner from MFT Stamps Blu Raspberry cardstock and then cut a zig zag square from white and adhered the balloons to the square. The sentiment from the MFT Stamps Gumball Greeting card kit was white embossed on black. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to finish it off and done.

The Seize the Birthday challenge is anything goes this week!

For my project today I used the fun new Jillibean Soup 2 Cool for School collection and the Monster stamp set along with some Therm-o-web Deco Foil transfer sheets in aqua blue for a cute birthday card. I took the photo looking down from the top so that you could see the shine of the foil. See the video below the card for an even better look at the foil!
