Back with some more colouring today for the 30 Day Colouring Challenge.
Today I coloured a petite bloom from Clearly Besotted Floral Fancy.
This set was gifted to me by Clearly Besotted at the last Stamping Away retreat weekend. So excited to finally show it some ink!

Snow Day - January '18

Can you believe it is already the last day of January?
I couldn't be happier to know that spring is that much closer!

12 Kits designer, Jeanne Jachna, is our host for this month's installment and she sent the group a kit bursting and overflowing with fabulous papers, lots of snowy die cut images and LOTS of

30 Day Colouring January 29

tracey_AN30Daycover

Another card for the 30 Coloring Challenge with Kathy Racoosin.
Practicing some more watercolouring with Distress Oxide inks. I like how you can obtain variations in one shade of colour by adding more water and picking up water with paper towel. Then you can add a second layer of the same colour because by the time you put down the first layer the ink has started to oxidize on your craft mat so the shade becomes a bit deeper. Once your watercoloured panel started to dry you can flick more water on to it and pick it up with paper towel to remove even more colour. Your results just keep changing.

30 Day Coloring January 28

tracey_Day28

Back again with another card for the 30 Coloring Challenge with Kathy Racoosin. Today I coloured the Essentials by Ellen Mondo Peony, one of my favourites. I first stamped the image with VersaFine OnyxBlack and then clear heat embossed it. The images were then coloured with a variety of Distress Oxide Inks. Once dry I splattered the panel with Copic Opaque White that was watered down then flicked on to the panel with a paintbrush. I added the black white embossed sentiment with foam tape and then the whole panel was backed with fun foam and adhered.

tracey_UFcover

Back again with another card for the 30 Coloring Challenge with Kathy Racoosin. I used the cute Ellen Hutson United We Flourish Good Friends stamps and dies. Then I Copic coloured the images and set them on to a graphic grid panel adhered to grey cardstock.

30 Day Coloring Challenge January 26

tracey_30Day27

Anothe card for  Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
The thing I like about this challenge is that you can share your successes and your failures.
I am still learning so much about colouring in all different mediums and for me my card today did not turn out as planned. I coloured today with ZIG's, I like the colours but went back into the yellow again to try and soften it and a bit too much water pooled around my waterbrush. Another learning experience, regardless I had fun.

tracey_pincover2

I have a another card today for the Ellen Hutson January Pin-Sights Challenge

Today's card is also for another day of Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge. I am using Ellen Hutson's Mondo Magnolia. I clear embossed the image on white Bristol cardstock and then I coloured the image in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used three shades of purple and I added a couple accents in green around the outside of the bloom.

Ellen Hutson January Pin-Sights Challenge & the 30 Day Coloring Challenge

tracey_pincover

I have a card today for the Ellen Hutson January Pin-Sights Challenge.
There is so much in this month's inspiration to love.

My card is also for another day of Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Today I used Copic markers to colours the flowers from Essentials by Ellen Rustic Botanicals designed by Julie Ebersole. Today I am colouring along with my friend Ardyth Percy-Robb. This colouring challenge is a great way for us to encourage each other to improve our colouring skills and complete the challenge. We will both be using the same sets.

I am also submitting this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Add a Sentiment.

Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try #56

traceycover

I haven't played along in such a long time which is crazy because I am crazy for Reverse Confetti.

The last few months have been very difficult for me recovering from my collarbone break, and as I write this post I am back in my sling again. This time to protect me from myself? My bone has healed and was cleared by my doctor to go about my life but to be cautious as the soft tissue damage may take some time to heal. After a month of feeling really good I have managed to put too much stress on my arm and I am back to being in quite a bit of pain again. The movements that we do but don't think about are the most painful. So no woe is me, I just have to slow down and use my sling as a reminder to take it easy and heal. Thank you for all the well wishes.

Here is this month's sketch.

...and my interpretation of it.
