...and with that summer vacation is over and it's back to school!
Time for The 12 Kits of Occasions August kit post. This month our hostess is the fabulous Lisa Elton and what a fun and timely kit she put together for the whole team. Complete with fabulous colours, patterns, die cuts and cute embellishments. I had a lot of fun playing with Lisa's kit keeping my daughter in mind. On Saturday morning we are heading up to Sudbury to move her into her new apartment on campus for year three of Continuing Education. Basically she is doing her Bachelor of Sociology and her Bachelor of Education at the same time. It is a 5 year program and she has three years to go. In the end she will be qualified to teach Kindergarten to Grade 7. So I made a few fun things with the kit to tuck into her bags to be found when she unpacks.
So let's get on to the projects...
This next one is also for the Color Throwdown #458, I was so excited to colour this in primary colours but this sweet little dress just had to be coloured in soft yellows.
I am going to submit all my projects today to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes...
Head over to the 12 Kits blog to see what the rest of the team and our special guest Judy Marino has made with the kit! Thanks for dropping by.

Tracey, I love ALL of your projects!!! Brooklyn will love them, too, especially with her field of study! I go back to work tomorrow -- back to school, still at my age!! Your cards and milk carton projects are all fabulous. Your floral apple thanks card is gorgeous, and I really love the way you used the patterned paper on your last card...such a cute layout! It was fun guesting with you all this month, thanks for having me!
I was hoping you would make some things for Brooklyn! The school theme should make her happy since she's studying to be a teacher! Everything is so cute Tracey. I like all of the little apple buttons together on the file folder panel. The coloring on your Wish Big mouse is adorable. Lots of sweetness in this post!

I'm so in love with you sweet projects Tracey, especially that darling milk carton!! And the flowers on the pencils???? Why didn't I think of that? You're daughter will be grinning from ear to ear as she unpacks her things and finds all these sweet goodies you've hidden. You're such a creative and thoughtful mama. Best wishes to your daughter this year at college!
LOve your projects... and James handy work showing up in your collage photo! Isn't he a keeper?!
I've saved[hoarded] those darling buttons - you make me want to get them out again, Tracey! To sew onto a darling little yellow dress!

Every one of these is so fantastic, Tracey! Love the adorable milk carton and your fun pencils! The apple button design is especially sweet and I adore your sweet mouse! It's wonderful that Brooklyn is studying to become a teacher. She will enjoy any of these darling cards!
My goodness, Tracey, did you ever create the most darling things with this kit! I bet she loved each and every one, and I love that you tucked them away as surprises. Your carton is darling and with that and your apple card you have solidified that I really do need Enclosed Apple. It's been on my wish list a few years, but now I know I "need" it. And your little mouse is adorable. Such a sweet card! Oh, you've made me wishing I had more leftovers. I've been browsing through your many, many other posts this evening. You are one talented lady, and I'm so grateful to be inspired by you and uplifted by your sweet words and comments. Grateful for you, friend!
A fabulous set of projects, Tracey ... they're all so cute ... and that little yellow dressed mouse is just adorable! Brooklyn will be so delighted to discover her sweet hidden goodies from home! Hugs, Anita :)
