25 Days if Christmas Tags - Day 16



Here we are at Day 16!
Today is also my 1100th post, I think I have made a few cards.

Yesterday morning we woke up to snow, far too early for snow. We usually don't see it here before Christmas. Totally unprepared and had to search the garage for the snow brush in the morning before I even had a coffee. It snowed all day and it was beautiful, but like I said too early!

For my tag I created a little scene for my snowman using embossing paste  and a stitched hills die cut. The snowman was popped up with a bit of foam tape, the let it snow on his flag was heat embossed in white.  The embossing paste adds texture and interest to the scene without adding distraction. I put a bit of Star Dust Stickles on the pom pom of his hat for a bit a sparkle. The second photo shows it a bit better.

    Your aqua tag is darling! Love the use of non-traditional colors! I love heat embossing these days but just recently used the embossing paste too!

    Love these tags... love Barb...off for a visit! Oh! I love embossing folders. My fave way to use them is not running it through my cuddlebug, though... I bash it randomly with a hammer!

    The tags are darling. I love the rocking animals. I can see them moving along to the music.
    We had snow over the weekend. it is not in the teens - should be in the 50s. too early for all of this.

    So much cuteness today on your post. I love Barb's tag and yours, too. You really packed a lot of wonderful details into your tiny canvas. I love all sorts of embossing, but probably my favorite is dry. I am lazy and it is easy enough that I have some sort of it on almost every card.

    Both tags are so sweet and fun...I always love a shaker project! I like heat embossing, it's such a quick way to add some texture or elegance to a card and non-cardmakers are always wowed by it.

    Very adorable tags today! Love the windows in the bookmark and the snowwy scene is gorgeous! We had 35Celcius in Oct and again last week, so I know what you mean - the seasons are going crazy!

    Your card is delightful and used one of my favorite types of embossing - heat. But I really can't pick one method as my favorite. I love both heat and dry embossing and also hand embossing.

    Wonderful tags! I love the colors you chose for yours! I love all types of embossing! Heat embossing gives such a rich look to projects and dry embossing adds lovely textures!

    You are so right, the embossing paste is perfect for your snow! Gorgeous tag, Tracey! My favorite embossing ... I'd have to say white heat embossing on vellum. OR any heat embossing on something other than cardstock.

    I think that I am developing a TAG ADDICTION!!!
    Your embossing paste snow EXCITES me Tracey - such beautiful dimension!!!
    I have to confess that I still enjoy dry hand embossing, I NEED a LOT of practice with heat embossing and embossing with my Big Shot is still has a steep learning curve, embossing paste is also on my list to try ... OH MY, I have so many crafty adventures ahead of me :)

    I forgot to mention that currently my favorite heat embossing is to emboss a silver sentiment on red or blue cardstock for a festive holiday look.

    OKay, today (hopefully) I'll add my snowman tag to your gallery, but love the embossing paste onto the blue... (might have to do more of that). I'm teaching a holiday tag class in 2 weeks and my goal is to decided (ha ha) on which tags AND cut out the bulk of the pieces more then 48 hours before the class... wish me luck.

    I love embossing in any form... from my embossing folders, my score pal, embossing pastes & embossing powders. Sometimes just a simple score line around the outside edge of a card is all it needs to give it that finished look. Thanks for sharing more lovely tags.
