Top Dog Dies - Weekly Post

IMG_6036

Definitely so behind this week, things are really busy around here with shopping, packing and then tomorrow moving my son to Sudbury. Today festivities include buying a freezer, blinds and all the 'oh I forgot to tell you items...'.

I have a card today using the new Top Dog Dies Modern Mosaic A2 Mat and the Top Dog Dies Banners #1.  I created a baby card that could be used for a boy, a girl or an unknown!

I die cut the mat from white cardstock and used it as a stencil along with translucent embossing paste.  I coloured the paste using Distress Ink that I smooshed onto my craft sheet. I find the translucent embossing paste not as creamy as regular paste , so it takes a bit more mixing to get the consistency right.  I used Post It tape to hold down my stencil over the card panel and then used my palette knives to add the paste to the stencil  in two shades. I removed the stencil and let both dry completely. It has a really nice shine to it.  The stencil is going to be used for a future project, stay tuned...

  20. Sending you 'energy' vibes as you deal with all the "excitement" of moving your son to college. I know he'll have everything he needs, with you at the helm, navigating. His place will be fabulous, comfortable and cozy. Speaking of fabulous: your baby card is sheer delight with its pretty shimmery colours and beautiful sentiment panel. Perfect for new parents; perfect to welcome a newborn!
