Pass or Fail?

IMG_5030

This card did not turn out as I had hoped, at all! In fact, it was destined for the recycle bin, but I just couldn't do it. I don't know if it is Peacock Blue distress ink that I am falling in love with, or because it was super late and I couldn't sleep. Maybe it was just because I like the grungy look of it. Regardless I really wanted to stamp out that big sentiment from my new Mama Elephant Splendid set.
I will let you be the judge.

This shot is natural daylight but I still can't get the vibrancy of the Peacock Blue to smile for the camera. :( Suggestions are most welcome!

I am going to submit it to the Addicted to CAS texture challenge.

After having a few days on my own, the house is going to fill up again. Brooklyn has been at leadership camp this week, my hubby is coming home from Edmonton today and Ben is coming home for the weekend.  I wonder if they will notice how clean the house is--all the bathrooms sparkle, all the floors have been washed, blinds and baseboards dusted and clutter put away.  Outside will they see that I cut the lawn? That the gardens have been cleaned up from the winter.  They will think I hired someone to do it all--ha ha!

I love your card and the great inked background. It sets the stage for that awesome stamp.

Now if your family notices all rhe work that was done, I won't hold my breath. But maybe they are better than mine. :)

I like it Tracey. It has tons of movement in it, yet there are so few visible elements to it. This is a glorious color. Recycle bin? Heck NO! This one's a keeper! Bev

I think the card looks great, Tracey. I just ordered some peacock blue and I have no idea how to get things to photograph right. I wish I did. I hope you haven't worn yourself out with all that work. The family will probably notice the thing you'll least expect.
