The 12 Kits of Occasions - April'14

Welcome to the 12 Kit of Occasions April kit post!

We are so sad to say goodbye to Christina , but right  now she is putting her family first as all of us should.  She will be missed but not forgotten. I have said it before but she was my first blog crush with her fabulous sense of design!

Jeanne Jachna was our hostess this month and what a kit she sent out to us.  I could have easily made 20 cards and not used all the supplies up. Beautiful floral paper from Basic Grey Floral Cut perfect for birthday cards and Mother's Day. I have never seen so many gorgeous die cuts.  Jeanne has two guest designers joining us this moth, Erin Theim and Nancy Penir. Here are my cards for this month and there is a special announcement down at the bottom of the post.  Happy Hopping!

For this next card I used sketch #19 from Seize the Sketch.

What marvelous cards Tracey! I could tell this kit was from Jeanne with all the bright colors and florals!

What fun! Beautiful in every way, not hard at all to love your color combos with these gorgeously singular die cuts! Especially love the bow tied pink lace! Guess because I didn't use that piece! Back to the craft room!

What do I love most about your work Tracey? You make me see things differently! I can't believe how we used all the ingredients so differently and you did so many unexpected things here. The first with the big bloom is so CAS and just drop dead gorgeous. You let the paper and bloom do all the talking and the sentiment breaks it all up perfectly. The floral border on the second is amazing, you broke it up perfectly against the large solid frame, the layered blue die cuts instead of stacking them - I never saw that coming! All gorgeous! I'm loving all these flowers today - cold and rainy here!

Another stunning lineup, Tracey! Your take on the Seize the Sketch is awesome, I love how you used that delicate flower in place of the banners - brilliant!

Whoa...did you even come up for air while you were making all these great cards Tracey? You sure made the most of Jeanne's super-sized kit...love the umbrella card and also the card where you offset the blue background and outline flower. That was my favorite...tough to come up with just one fave though!

Tracey, you did such beautiful work with Jeanne's Kit! You have a such wonderful eye for combining patterns and colors. Can't wait to CASE you using some of my leftover papers. LOVE what you created with yellow flower border and how you overlapped the die cuts on your third card. And the lily of the valley with the tile background is such a bright, happy design!
