MIM #153 and Virginia'a View Challenge #1

IMG_3977

I do not think I have used watercolours since I was in grade school. I own a set that I bought a few years ago, just in case. I admire all the beautiful watercolours I am seeing in card making and scrapbooking and in style trends...yet I resisted.  I went down this road with sequins and now I can't create a card without at least one. When my good friend Virginia Lu started her new challenge blog Virginia's View just the other day I knew the time was here. With this week's Papertrey Make It Monday of watercoloured backgrounds I decided to get out my 'way too narrow' paintbrush and give it a go. I learned a few things and I would do a few things differently next time, yes I said next time.  It was fun, if you haven’t tried this technique out you really should--thanks Virginia for giving me the push I needed! I am also submitting this to Seize the Birthday.

I love your watercolor background. This is one trend I've jumped on. Not so much for sequins but watercolor? Bring it on!

Love the muted look the watercoloring gives your card!!! What I love about watercoloring is that there isn't a right or wrong and you get fabulous results! :)
