Masculine Birthday Card

Today is my husbands birthday!

This is the card he will not see in person until he comes home in three weeks.
I can tell you that 3 500 kilometers is a lot farther away than it sounds. The kids have been making plans of what we will do when he comes home on the May 24th long weekend, just for the weekend.
I hope we can cram it all in.

If he sees this post, Happy Birthday Sweetheart, we love you.

I used this card created by Heather Nichols as inspiration for my design.

All supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted.

Cardstock:  Kraft, Enchanted Evening
Stamps: Background Basics: Herringbone, Background Basics: Medallions, Stylish Sentiments Birthday
Ink:  Kraft, Enchanted Evening, Dark Chocolate
Dies: Stitched Mats (Lil' Inkers)
other: jute twine, kraft button, foam tape

  7. This is such a perfect guy card. I'm pinning, because I love everything about it--the colors, the layout, and the stamps you used. I hope James has as nice a birthday as a man can have who is missing his family--and I know you will have a great reunion in a few weeks.

  11. Happy Birthday to your Mister, Tracey! Your card is so manly with the tweedy design and twine and awesome button!!

I can only imagine how tough this separation is on everyone in the family. I do hope that he is enjoying the job itself to help take some of the painful sting out of being apart from you and the kids. Take care and hang in there!
