CCC #9 - Sky

The weeks are passing by quickly, can you believe it is already time for another CASology challenge?  It is so much fun each week to see all of the incredible creations that are being posted.  This week's cue card is:

Here is what I created for this week:

I went for the obvious but had so much fun doing it.  I used my Silhouette die cutting machine to cut the Hero Arts Clouds image and adhered the die cut to the white card base. The die cut adds texture to the card even though it is adhered directly to the card base using just adhesive tape.  The large die cut takes centre stage because it is not layered with multiple embellishments which hide it or clutter the card.  Therefore the card remains CAS.

Head on over to CASology today to learn what the `cue card`means to you, how you can play along and see the all the cards created by the Design Team to inspire you.

Don`t forget to visit the blogs of the other members of the Design Team:
Tracey McNeely (that`s me)

and this week's Guest Designer Meghan (winner of CCC #8 - RELAX)

I can't wait to see what SKY means to you!

All Supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted:

Cardstock: White, Spring Rain, New Leaf
Stamps: Up Up & Away
Ink: True Black
Dies: Up Up & Away (PTI), Clouds (Hero Arts for Silhouette America)
other: grass punch (Fiskars), assorted markers (Copic), foam dots

Fabulous Tracey! I love that the clouds are the negative part of the die cut (if that makes any sense!)

Oh my...this is just too cute! reminds me of the movie Up, but you have a hot air balloon instead of a house. Such a sweet card, so bright and colorful and it just brings a smile to my face.

Your card is really outstanding, Tracey! I know the adorable balloon is a focus pocus, but I love the clouds and all that inviting grass! I picture myself laying in it, staring up into the clouds and seeing what imaginary shapes they form!!

Cute card! Very creative to use negative clouds as the bkgrd sky! I wish I had one of those to use as a cloud template. :)

I almost went for a balloon too! I love that cloud background and the grass. The perspective is almost like you're lying in the grass and looking up at the clouds and the balloon. Very cool. :)
