RS #15 & colourQ #141 - card 2

My Dad loves to fish at the cottage.  Now of course anything he catches goes right back into the lake. Sometimes I think he just puts his line in the water without a lure.  He taught both my kids how to fish, these photos were taken in 2004.

This is my last Father's Day card done.  I have to say that Melissa Bickford's World's Greatest Stamp set has gotten lots of use this spring.  Doesn't it make you happy when you get a stamp set and then actually get your money's worth out of it.  I snapped the photo just as the sun was setting, there really is not a glare on the stickers.  This card is being posted for RetroSketches this week and using the colours from colourQ one more time.

All Supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted:

Stamps: World's Greatest
Ink: Blueberry Sky, Simply Chartreuse
Dies: World's Greatest, Matt Stack 4. Matt Stack Layers 4

  7. What a clever card. Those ties make excellent fish, and I love the mat stack impressed with those lines and matted. I had to squint and read the fine print to see what stamp set you used. And, such great old photos, too.

  9. Hi Tracey! First, love your new blog design, so fresh and happy! Second, using the ties as fish is so smart of you, I love how they're not quite fish shaped to make them really interesting. Third, my eight-year-old fisherman happened to be looking over my shoulder and was excited to see your fishing pictures. He thought the fish in the first picture is a bluegill. I defer to him on fishing matters.

  25. Very nice Father's Day card! I love the ties on that little pin. I enjoyed seeing those photos of your children when they were little ones - so fun to reminisce. ;-) Don't get me started, though, about getting my money out of my stamps. I think there are only 3 individual stamps in my whole stash of hundreds that have seen light of day in the last 3 weeks. Serious creative drought over here. *sigh*
