CAS-ual Fridays CFC #57 & Dynamic Duos #7

Things are crazy in our house this week with both my kids writing final exams.  On top of that my daughter sprained her ankle last weekend at her soccer tournament when she went head to head with the goalie on the other team and took the full force of the kick on her ankle.   On crutches but no break.  My son was at rugby tryouts for Team Ontario and realized that although his mono is gone, he is not fully recovered and spent half of the tryout with the medics.  Lets just say that Mom is stressed dealing with their stress.

On to things that make me happy.  I combined CAS-ual Fridays and Dynamic Duos this week.  The CAS-ual Fridays challenge was to create a clean and simple project that uses either acetate or vellum and Dynamic Duos was to create a project using the colours Melon Mambo with Basic Black.  I created a card using the Duos colours and die cut a second butterfly using white polka dotted vellum for CAS-ual Fridays.

  8. You nailed both challenges, Tracey! I'm so glad you are able to relieve your stress by creating, rather than letting the stress shut down your mojo. That would be such a shame. Thank you so much for joining my site! I hope your two daredevils settle down and both fully recover soon.

  19. All those injuries and illnesses are so stressful. Good think you have your crafting, so you can go to your happy place. I love the card you made for both of these challenges. There is something about vellum and butterflies that go together perfectly. I need to remember that for myself. That happy in black is just stunning, and really stands out with the pink.
