colourQ challenge #138

I am finally able to post my card for this weeks colourQ challenge.  A lot of thought went into this card that I am sending to my sister-in-law today.  Five years ago yesterday, my brother died of terminal cancer.  He was only 50 years old, amazing husband, son, brother and father to four children.  I wanted to send my sister-in-law a card to let her know that she is not alone.  The colours this week were so easy to work with.

All Supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted:

Cardstock: Kraft, White, Aqua Mist Paper Pack
Stamps: Tea for Two Additions, Beautiful Butterflies, Flower Fusion #7
Ink: Kraft, Pure Poppy, Harvest Gold, Aqua Mist
Dies: Tea Cup, Tag Sale #5
other: foam tape, scallop punch (Fiskars)

I am so terribly sorry for the loss to your family, Tracey. Even after some years, that loss can still hold on, I know. :( But, on the bright side, you have created a FABULOUS card for your SIL! I love the stack of coffee cups, and the sentiment is perfect. Thanks so much for playing at the ColourQ this week (and also for popping by paper&ICE your comments always make my day!)

I really like the stacked cups in these pretty colours Tracey. What a horrible thing cancer is, tearing families apart the way it does. You sound as if you miss your brother very much and I think your card is such a thoughtful gesture.
