Color Hues Challenge #27

Hi friends, Happy Friday. It's time for a new challenge at the Color Hues #27!

It's been a long time since I brought out this cute bear from Essentials by Ellen All Inside stamps and the Essentials by Ellen All Inside dies that make the bear be able to hold an accessory. I don't think he's a very scary witch because when you tilt his hat on the side he just looks extra cute!

I created my pumpkins using the A Jillian Vance Design Autumn Pumpkin stamp set that was gold pearl embossed and coloured with Copic markers.--YR01, YR02, YR04, and YR15. The cute bear from the Essentials by Ellen All Inside stamp set was dressed up in Essentials by Ellen Bear Ware 2 are shaded with Copic markers--T1, T2, T4 and T6.

The background was created with the MFT Stamps Framework Background stamped over the masked image with Catherine Pooler Eucalyptus ink. I used a full back adhesive Post It note to create my mask.

I can't wait to see what you create with these colours!
Have a fabulous day!

Color Hues Challenge #26

Hi there friends!

Challenge #26 is stating today at the Color Hues Challenge with two new colours!

Purple and pink are one of my most favourite colour duos. For me when I see those two colours together it always makes feel so happy. Using the Essentials by Ellen Everything's Beachy stamps, Everything's Beachy dies along with the fabulous Essentials by Ellen Yasss die and wanted to make one more summer card before it's over!

I created a small blended panel for the Yasss using Distress Oxide inks in Spun Sugar. Kitsch Flamingo, Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet. The make sure my umbrella matched I stamped all three layers with Wilted Violet and the lady and towel with Copic markers.

Yasss! Sitting on the beach relaxing!

I can't wait to see what you do for this challenge!
Have a great day!

Color Hues Challenge #25

Hi there! Wow September 1st, where did the summer go?

The weather this year has been crazy crazy! Where I am we had beautiful early spring, an awesome June that was hot with no humidity, no black flies or mosquitoes. Sounds amazing so far, right?

Well in comes July--rain so heavy and hard that it drowned most of my annuals and cold! We had smoke advisories due to the crazy wildfires in both northern Ontario and across from Manitoba and B.C. August was just one big record setting heat wave. So I could go on and on but I have the feeling that most of you are experiencing strange weather wherever you are too! Moving on...

I am super excited to finally be able to share with you that I'm joining the amazing designers and team at the Color Hues Color Challenge! After not crafting much this past year I am so excited to be here and hopefully bring you lots of colour inspiration. The Color Hues Challenge is celebrating their first anniversary this month and there is a surprise for you over on the blog.

So many ideas were running through my head but I chose this fun summer stamp by Studio Katia called Citrus Trimmings! I stamped and clear embossed in black and then dusted off and coloured with ZIG markers (colours are linked below). The sentiment is from MFT Stamps Right At Home, that set has so many fabulous sentiments!

A closer look at the finished panel that was embellished with some Studio Katia Clear Drops.

Make sure you visit the Color Hues Challenge and check out the amazing inspiration from my teammates and play along while you are there! Can't wait to see what you create!

Sending Sunshine & Rainbows

 Hi friends!

These were made for my friend Ardyth's 5K YouTube celebration hop last summer!  Well if you haven't checked lately she just hit 15K, congratulations Ardyth!

I had so many technical difficulties and ended up losing most of the video and when I pieced it back together again the audio was completely gone as well.

I put the cards aside with intentions of repairing the video but that never happened. So here we are over a year later and I figured it was time to post. These were all made using rainbow products from Concord & 9th. I used Catherine Pooler and Altenew Inks.

Time Out Challenges #194

I know can you believe it two posts in one day. It seems to be all or nothing for me these days.

I could not let Time Out Challenges #194 run out without sharing a card inspired by my sweet friend Kim Heggins. Kim is leading this challenge and the inspiration is one of her gorgeous handmade bags!!

I was inspired by all the beautiful women on the bag. All women are beautiful regardless of our skin colour but my today my lady is beautiful in her spa towel and mask!

I used older and sadly retired Essentials by Ellen sets called Spa Day and Mirror Mirror.

Have a great day!

Color Hues Challenge #23

Hi there, over the weekend I had a chance to play with some new to me PinkFresh stamps and dies.

I chose to use the colors from the Color Hues Color Challenge #23.

For my first card I used the stamps and the co-ordinating stencils to shade my butterfly pink and yellow.

The second card I did also with pink and yellow but I only used the stencils, with gave me a pinky peach colour through the centre of the butterfly! The sentiment was foiled in gold but you can't see it in the picture.

Thanks so much for stopping in today!
