 A card for the Essentials by Ellen July Pin-Sights Challenge!

I decided to focus on the colour and I made a background using the single hydrangea bloom from Mondo Hydrangea and colouring them using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The blue's were perfect but my Carmine Red Zig, which seemed a really good shade, went very pink when it was activated with water. I was still happy with the look of the background.

The card was done on Sunday, really, but I didn't have a chance to take a photo until the wee hours of Monday morning--lol!

My MFT Zig Zag stitched circle was sponged with three shades of Distress Ink, splattered with water and then my palm tree was coloured with Copics.  A quick and easy thank you card!

Scrap-a-faire 2016: Share Your Masterpiece

Here we are with the 2016 Scar-a-faire event!

The first challenge is the Share Your Masterpiece Challenge. Select a project from our previous creations that we are most proud of. I selected this card that I made back in May here. I am most proud of this project because I really stepped out of my comfort zone to create this one. I am a clean and simple cardmaker but for this one I got messy with embossing and watercolouring with watercolour powders. So must fun to make.

Hoping to have a chance to play along with some of the other challenges today, but this is the first step.

Over the past two days I coloured  a  bit of these images, first the bear and cake and then the balloons and hat. I put them together to make a cute birthday card with the addition of a wonky stitched frame, some glitter paper, some Wink of Stella and some foam tape for dimension!

For Day 16 of Kathy Racoosin's 5th 30 Day Coloring Challenge!

Altenew's Best Mom was embossed in white. The flowers, leaves and background were coloured with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and some water was added using my waterbrush. I added a strip of silver glitter paper and a thin strip of black cardstock.

Celebrate

I had a bit of fun blending Distress Inks for Day 14 of Kath Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge. I started working on a blending Candy Apple, Picked Raspberries and Wilted Violet. I basically covered my whole sheet with different variations and then splattered with some water. Love this technique. I finally die cut from a portion of the panel that was primarily Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry. The balloon was cut with new MFT Stamps Balloon dies.
