Happy Father's Day Ties

Happy Saturday!

I have another Father's Day card to share today, I made this using an element from The Heart Desires Challenge #1. You may chose one, two or three of the defined elements. This month they are the colours, sea creatures and geometric shapes! So I chose the colours and it may be a bit of a stretch to say there are geometric shapes on the ties. I used Simon Says Stamp Father's Day Finds and coloured the ties with Copic markers Popped up with foam tape on a piece of houndstooth patterned paper and added a white heat embossed sentiment backed with grey cardstock.

This week`s new cue is:

Perfect for this time of the year and I knew right away what set I was going to use for this week`s cue. All Inside from Essentials by Ellen! I love using that set so much. The sun that the bear is hugging was coloured with Copic marker and then with Wink of Stella. In the large photo the Wink of Stella is doing it's usual disappearing act, but the detail shot below it picks it up perfectly! The sentiment was stamped with Hero Arts Ombre Ink Butterbar to Orange Soda, again very subtle in the photo below.

colourQ #345 and MFTWSC #283

Happy Tuesday and it's time for a new colour palette at the colourQ!

I used the sketch from MFT Stamps Wednesday Sketch Challenge #283 for my design and coloured my new Pretty Posies stamps that I just received in the mail on Monday.  I used Memento London Fog for my stamping so that I would be able to Copic colour the images and the blue/grey was better suited than black for my overall design.

For the Grad

 Happy Monday morning!

I had my whole gang home again this weekend, it is starting to feel like the norm again. Saturday I was fortunate that Ardyth was up near my house dropped her daughter off at Art Camp so we were able to meet for lunch. The rest of the weekend was busy with scoping out the existing gardens and seeing what was growing, deciding what was coming out, what was moving and what we still need. That is going to be a work in progress. A trip to the garden centre and baskets and planters were purchased, I think that will be it for the annuals this year. What did you do this weekend?

We got some much needed rain on Sunday so a chance to get my craft on. I made a few needed graduation cards starting with this one using my new Simon Says Stamp grad die and an embossing folder I have had for a long time. I cut the grad out with MFT Stamps Gold Sparkle cardstock, love the fabulous shine.

AAA Card Challenge Game #66 - Guest Design

So happy to share with you today that I am the Guest Designer for the AAA Cards Challenge Game #66!

The theme of the game this time is one of my favourites--watercolours! Just recently I purchased some Magenta watercolour powders and used them for my panel. I used the Raspberry and Turquoise powders, after my panel was almost dry I added some water droplets and then sprinkled with some rock salt. Once dry I shook off the rock salt, stamped my sentiment and adhered the panel with foam tape to my white card case. Finished it off with a white die cut butterfly and some sparkle clear sequins.

Happy Birthday Ardyth!

I have a card to share today for Ardyth's birthday which was earlier this week.
She hasn't seen it yet, but it is safe to share it with you now because she is currently driving to take her daughter to camp near where I live so I am meeting her for lunch.

I was channeling my inner Ardyth when I made this card so much so that I was actually smiling as it was coming together. I tend to be a bit OCD about mixing products from different manufacturer's together but for this one I went all out mixing Lawn Fawn, MFT Stamps, Altenew, Avery Elle and Pretty Pink Posh. Can you find them all?

Tag You're It #38 - REMINDER

There is still time to play along with Tag You're It Challenge #48!

Bobby's tag was perfect for the Memorial Day Holiday in the United States this past weekend. Being Canadian we do not have the same holiday but there is no reason why I couldn't be inspired by her tag. I used an older set from Papertrey Ink for my balloons and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, I am hoping to get some serious gardening done. Things are really starting to take shape, so there are things to move, things to plant and baskets to be hung.
