Happy Tuesday!
Welcome back to Day 2 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags and also time for this week's CASology Cue Card!
As we move through the 25 days you have a new opportunity to enter for the prize draw every single day! The main prize draw HERE has five opportunities for you to enter and all the other days from Day 2 on you have one opportunity. As long as you enter on or before November 27th 11:59 pm EST and follow the entry guidelines.
I am very excited today to share that the Design Teams at both the colourQ and RetroSketches are joining me as my guests!
The girls are either using the new colourQ colours, the current RetroSketches sketch or both and all of them have created a tag. I am posting a photo of their tags along with a link to their blogs, visit each one of them for more details on their tags and for another chance to win the giveaway at each stop. See the bottom of my post for what you need to do for an entry on my blog post today.
Sylvia - colourQ
Silke - colourQ
Claire - colourQ
Kim - colourQ
Lisa - colourQ
Jen - -colourQ
Amy - colourQ
Erin - RetroSketches
Jeni - RetroSketches
Aren't they all so gorgeous?
Now today is the start of a new challenge at CASology!
This week's cue card is:
For my tag today I merged the three challenges together--colourQ, RetroSketches and CASology!
What does sea have to do with Christmas?
Well it isn't cold everywhere in the world at Christmas time.
Maybe you live in a beach town, isn't it fitting you would put a starfish on top of your tree?
I used the Basic Bookmark 2 die for my tag. The perforations at the top of the tag to minic the twine at the top of the sketch, the tree is he the centre panel, the To and From mimic the side panels, the stamped sentiment mimics the band on the sketch and the shaped base mimics the shaped bottom on the sketch. That is how I interpreted the sketch. I used this week's colourQ palette for my tag--Ocean Tides, Simply Chartreuse, Melon Berry and Pure Poppy inks.
1. You can still enter the main prize draw HERE
2. Another chance today by telling me what is your favourite type of challenge--a colours challenge, a sketch challenge or one that combined both?
3. Visit the blog of the design teams at the colourQ and RetroSketches for more chances.
Thank you to all the girls at both the colour and RetroSketches for joining me today!

ReplyDeleteYour tag is so fantastic, and what a fabulous way to combine all of those challenges. As a person who lives by-the-Sea, I can say that if I were to have a Christmas tree, I would love to top it with a starfish. That would be absolutely perfect. ReplyDeleteDelightful tags! What a lot of inspiration posted today... makes me want to break out my holiday stamps! I love the color challenges... I get some great ideas for color combos I would not normally think to try!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to take over the world with your tags, Tracey! Love all the guest taggers today but your tag is my favourite with the starfish on the tree. A brilliant idea that I will definitely be CASEing! :)

ReplyDeleteTracey your tag is seaside perfection!! Love that sweet little tree and the starfish on top is perfect! Thanks so much for having the CQ gals join you today!!
ReplyDeleteA star fish tree-topper! Ah HA! Brilliant! Of all the type of challenges out there, I think I like a sketch challenge over a color challenge...but honestly I like cue cards the best! ;)
ReplyDeleteWOW!! This is just amazing!! LOVE this so much!
ReplyDeleteSo much yumminess!!!! I LOVE both sketches and colours...I guess it depends on how I'm inspired. ;)
ReplyDeleteImpressive use of all 3 challenges! Girl, you do like to challenge yourself. The starfish tree topper takes the cake. :) Another great line-up of guest designers. I can hardly wait to see who shows up next. No wonder you've been so excited for this amazing event to start!
ReplyDeleteLove that you used a starfish, great thinking :D
ReplyDeleteKate xx
Hahaha! A starfish on top of the tree! This one must be for me, in the blazing Summer sun here in Australia. ;-) I can see that this is going to be the BIGGEST 25 tags of Christmas in the history of mankind! Wow!
ReplyDeleteMore Awesomeness today! I like sketch challenges over color challenges, but I also like cue word/card challenges the best.
ReplyDeleteLove them!
ReplyDeleteA fabulous tag Tracey - love the mix of traditional colours with a modern look.
ReplyDeleteThank you for playing along at ATCAS - Sylvia x.
I am a big fan of combo challenges...
ReplyDeleteSo much creative inspiration! I like sketch challenges because it makes me try designs that I normally wouldn't.
ReplyDeleteAmazing inspiration, Tracey, from all your guests! I saw your tag at CASology first ... and spotted the starfish straight away! Love it, love the sense of humour! Sketch or colour for me ... depends on how the muse takes me! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic tags for Day 2 and the tag you made would be perfect over here in New Zealand. Its usually BBQ's at the beach for Xmas here. My favourite challenge is hard to choose as it depends on the colours or the sketch...will go with sketch.
ReplyDeletewhoa lots of unique tags!!!
ReplyDeleteI am really getting inspired by all these gorgeous tags. Hope to make some soon. Regarding the sketches, I like either the color or the layout sketch for challenges but not both together. It's a little restrictive to have both. I probably would prefer the color to the layout. Sometimes I want to enter a challenge but I don't care for the sketch.
ReplyDeleteThese are all fab, I'll be pinning these for future reference!
ReplyDeleteI prefer sketch challenges :)
All the tags showcased here are just gorgeous !! ..My fave type of challenge is a color challenge ..I get really inspired by them !
ReplyDeleteWonderful inspiration from everyone today!A feast for the eyes! Love the starfish idea!
ReplyDeleteWow! Fantastic tags. The sheer variety is amazing! While I enjoy sketch challenges I think I prefer colour challenges. :-)
ReplyDeleteI like color challenges.
ReplyDeleteOh, boy... so many fantastic samples. I need to sit down with my coffee and study these pretties! Thanks for organizing the hops Tracey.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I thought I got your post via e-mail... but I have just signed up for the google feed... is that how you call it?!
ReplyDeleteFantastic eye candy! Love, love, love! I like sketch challenges. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an endless supply of tag inspiration! I love combining challenges when I can.
ReplyDeleteI can’t remember if I commented on these. Wow CAS olog DT did an amazing job on the tags each one is a work of art. I love your simple Christmas tree.
ReplyDeleteSuper fabulous tags ladies!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing !! You tag is pure beauty n simplicity :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tags, with my favorite being the final one with the stamped tree...so wonderful! My favorite type of challenge is a color challenge because it gives me the most lee-way.
ReplyDeleteAmazing tags. I love both sketch and color challenges.

Sketch challenges are my very favorite. Jen's elf and Erin's tree are my favorites today.
ReplyDeleteWOW wow WOW
ReplyDeleteSO MANY FABULOUS tags - I look forward to visiting all of the blogs to LEARN MORE!!!
LOVE the DELICATE DETAIL of your pretty tag Tracey, such a pretty tree with the stars & "holly berry" dots!!!
I LOVE using BOTH colour and sketch challenges because each push my creative limits :)
I haven't done any challenges. I don't have a blog so I've not participated.
ReplyDeleteLove the cross-stitched (look-alike)
ornament.
Terrific tags
ReplyDeleteby everyone!
I like the combined
challenge idea.
Carla from Utah
I'm so enjoying
ReplyDeleteall the tags! Your
tag is lovely.
Carla from Utah
LOVE your CUTE tag! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks to your guests for their wonderful tags, too.
I like to do both kinds of challenges. They come in handy especially if I'm a little stuck but if they are combined they can be overwelming.
Crafty hugs,
D~

Cute tag. Love the tree and the starfish on top.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite type of challenge is a sketch challenge.
wow a slew of tags...love them!I love your Christmas tree tag with the to and from flanking the tree.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Tracey! Love the starfish!
ReplyDeleteI love doing sketch challenges, they are extra fun if there is and extra challenge with in the challenge. Great tags today!!
ReplyDeleteLoving all of these tags! I like sketch challenges the most.
ReplyDeleteNot only do you have amazing people designing for you not including yourself but a starfish on top of a Christmas tree...too clever, by half.
ReplyDeleteThat starfish is clever and looks right at home on top of the tree. Gorgeous tag beautifully done. Thanks so much for joining us at ATCAS and good luck.
ReplyDeleteMarie
I prefer sketch challenges because I never seem to have the right colors for a color challenge. I know I can use shades that are close, but I really want to use the exact colors!
ReplyDeletehow fun are these?!
ReplyDeleteNow THAT is sooooo clever!! That tree would not be out of place at my house with temps at Christmas upwards of 37 degrees Celsius!! What a fabulous idea!
ReplyDeletetee hee hee hee
ReplyDeleteA starfish - how clever. I really wondered how you were going to make "sea" work!
Prettly little tag and a great hop, Tracey.
Such fantastic tags! I'm going to have such inspiration when I start making mine. As for challenges, I'm a fan of Sketch Challenges (though I've never entered one!).
ReplyDeleteMore amazing inspiration with this set of tags! I like challenges with both!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute, I love all these tags! My favourite type of challenge - would be a colour challenge. I like sketches too but I prefer colour.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is so creative and talented. so inspiring. Can't wait to try some of these ideas. The stamp companies in the give away are many of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteOh my.... more gorgeousness!
ReplyDeleteLove me a sketch challenge, but sometimes a color challenge will spark something too!
What a fabulous collection of tags! TFS
ReplyDeleteHow creative to put a starfish on a tree!!!! I love color challenges - they are easier for me than sketch challenges - my style is CAS and some sketches have lots of layers which are not easy for me. But a CAS sketch - bring it on!
ReplyDeleteIf I participated in a challenge, I think I would like to work with colors.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite challenge is the sketch types or theme. Love your fun little tree.
ReplyDeleteI like both. I dont usually have the time to actually participate in all the challenges tho.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried a challenge but really want to! I think I've gotten good enough to share my projects :-) I would prefer colour challenges over sketch challenges. The biggest reason I haven't done any challenges if the fact that I don't have a blog. I need to remedy that! Thanks for the inspiration & for taking the time to put all of these tag posts together.
ReplyDeleteSo colour or sketch? I think it has to be both. First off though you can't beat a good sketch to get your juices flowing.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Hazel xx
love the stitching and all the glitter and fun on these tags!
ReplyDeleteGreat tag! I tend to use sketch challenges the most!
