Color Hues #134

Hello crafty friends! It's time for another new color duo at the Color Hues Color Challenge! I can't believe it's June the 1st! Wasn't Christmas just last month? Time is certainly moving very fast in my neck of the woods. Next month my daughter is getting married and I just can't believe it, but I'm also so excited!

My fabulous teammate Bonnie has chosen Pink and Tourquoise as the next color duo! I have had the  Papertrey Ink Beach Bag stencil since the month it came out but I have never used it!
Anyone else have that problem?

The stencils lined up beautifully making it easy the line up and mask some the fine lines. I used Catherine Pooler Dye inks in Fiesta Blue, Cummerbund and It's a Girl.

I trimmed the stencilled panel down to 5 1/4" x 4 1/4" and attached it to the card base with foam tape.

The Simon Says Stamp thanks sentiment was die cut three times with white and once with silver glitter paper. The three white pieces with glued together and the silver layer was glued to the top. I glued it direct to the panel rather than used the coordinating shadow die. I think both ways would look great!

Nothing makes a card more magical than sparkle. I love the way the sentiment pops off the card front because of the brilliant silver sparkle cardstock!

If you haven't had a chance yet, head over to the Color Hues blog to see what my teammates have done! I hope to see you play along with us!

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!

  4. These are the sweetest beach bags, Tracey! And the sparkly sentiment gives them a touch of glamour! It's true that it sometimes takes a long time to use our purchases. I think it's a very common problem!

  11. What a fabulous and fun card, Tracey! All those beach bags are terrific, I wish I had a couple that looked like them. Great choice with these summery colors and of course, the sparkly sentiment tops it off beautifully. I have more NBUS items than I care to admit, but I am working my way through them. It's just so hard when I keep seeing new products that I simply can't live without lol! I hope all your daughter's wedding planning is going well.
