Well there is certainly no shortage of snow here again this year! After Christmas my husband and I were talking abouot how the snow so far wasn't bad. No sooner were these words spoken and a three day snow event has left us with our fill--lol! It's still so much less than last year but enough.
Today we start a new colour duo at the Color Hues Color Challenge. Teammate Julie Beech is our host for this challenge and she chose the colours Red & Pink! Perfect for a Valentines card which is the first thing that came to my mind!
Last year I purchase a few Valentine items from Pretty Pink Posh. For my card I used the Double Heart Shaker dies. I started off by cutting my heart pieces, the main double heart and the two heart pieces all cut from white cardstock.
The two separate hearts were ink blended using Distress Oxides ink in Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Festive Berries and a touch of Candy Apple.

Thank you so much for taking time to stop in today! Your visits are always appreciated!

CAS and ever so sweet, Tracey! We've had our fill of the snow and cold too. Spring can't come soon enough!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty hearts. Love how you ink blended them and then inlaid in the white frames. Great card.
ReplyDeleteSweetest Valentine ever, Tracey! Beautiful ink blending! Thanks for your sweet comment, my friend.
ReplyDeleteClean, crisp and CAS, just my ticket Tracey. A fab take on my colour duo! :)
ReplyDeleteYour ink blending is so smooth and pretty, Tracey! A simple, classy valentine!
ReplyDeleteYour layered hearts are delightful, Tracey, and I love the font of the sentiment. Great CAS valentine!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool heart die set Tracey and I love that you ink blended your two hearts rather than use colored cardstock...I love seeing the gradation of color the ink blending gives!! Love the font of your sentiment too! Sweet, sweet Valentine card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteI may have gotten a sneak peek at this card, but is is really, really cute! I don't have very good Valentine sentiments. I like these that you have used.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this CAS Valentine! The ink blending adds so much interest to the two hearts, and the scripted sentiment is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLovely pink and red hearts! Wonderful sentiment, too! I would love to purchase them, but I've already bought so much Valentine goodies, lol!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. I adore your CAS design. Those dies are so fun!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet Valentine, Tracey, in your classic CAS style! The stitching on the hearts is such a nice detail, and I am crazy about great fonts, which your sentiment has. Of all the crafting supplies I have, I probably have the least for Valentine's Day. Your set was a smart buy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blending Tracey!!! Sometimes simpler is best and this is one prime example.
