Color Hues #68

Hi there, the new colours are up at the Color Hues Color Challenge #68!

Sorry to be a bit late posting but lots going on around here. My mom has just settled in to her new retirement home and last Wednesday she fell during the night and fractured her hip. Fortunately it's a small fracture and is should fully heal. With my siblings all away, my husband and I have been doing the back and forth to the hospital which is a two hour drive each way. The important thing is that she is doing okay. We do what needs to be done with love.

Now on to my card for the challenge!

I used the Papertrey Ink Berry Branches 4 piece stencil set. The thing I love about this set is that is can be customized for just about any occasion. Just choose your colours and line up the stencils and you get a gorgeous full panel every time!

I used Catherine Pooler inks in Merlot and Eucalyptus!

It so easy to line up this stencil and also easy to control the amount of ink you use.

The sentiment is from Waffle Flower and I layered it three times for dimension!

Scrap'n Stamp Christmas in July Blog Hop

It’s blog hop weekend with Scrap 'N Stamp and we are celebrating Christmas in July with a fabulous lineup of makers! You are going to see a variety of cards shared today that are sure to inspire!

I used products from Lawn Fawn for my card starting with the Build-a-Snowman dies. The snowpeople are made with cardstock and patterned paper! The background made with the Snowflakes Background hot foil plate, foiled in silver. Then it was cut with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables, you could also use the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables too. I ink blended with Distress Oxide Ink--Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Uncharted Mariner! I used a microfibre cloth you wipe off the excess ink and to highlight the foiling!

As always, we welcome your comments along the way- and every comment earns you a chance to win a great prize, a $50 Gift certificate! The winner will be randomly chosen from comments left on the hop and announced on the SNS blog - July 25.
You should have arrived here after visiting Tara Nixon Cox and I am the last stop of the hop before sending you back to Scrap`N Stamp

Color Hues #67

High friends! We have a new color duo over at the the Color Hues Color Challenge for Challenge #67!

I used the MFT Stamps Happy, Happy Birthday stamp set for my cards today.

I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" panel and stamped 'HAPPY" from the stamp set with Catherine Pooler inks--Sangria and Dress Blues.

Once it was done I wasn't feeling it and especially if I used a white border.

I chose to mat the outlined stamped version with merlot coloured cardstock. I think that really made the colours pop, what do you think?

I cut another 5 1/4" x 4" panel, I know, why didn't I just cut two to start with. Do you ever do things like that??

I stamped the solid 'Happy' in the challenge colours once again with the same Catherine Pooler Inks!

This card with the solid 'HAPPY' stamps I was able to mat with a soft grey coloured cardstock. The words were heavy enough to support the lighter grey. This one would have looked good even with a white mat.

I have a feeling that I'll be suing this stamp set a lot more in the future. It's great for making quick and easy birthday cards in any colours!

I hope you pop over to the Color Hues Color Challenge  to see the amazing creations my teammates have made with these colours.

Thank you so much for stopping into visit today!
I hope to see you play with us over at the Color Hues!
