It's time for a new color another challenge at the Color Hues! I hope you join us for Color Hues #29!
I bought the Toadstool Garden and Mighty Oak dies from the Greetery when they were released last year but this is my first time using them! The new colour palette was the perfect time to get them out to play.
I made some really amazing background panels using Tim Holtz Mica Stain sprays! Talk about addictive! I sprayed a couple panels using the the colours Jack O Lantern and Crooked Broomstick. It was so fun to see the different variations in hues as the two ink colours blended together, not to mention the amazing metallic shine! Once they were dry I cut out some toadstools and leaves and arranged them on to a Shiplap background also from the Greetery.
The Greetery makes some of the most beautiful stuff...and you have shown it off fabulously.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of those dies from The Greetery, Tracey! This is a lovely card!
ReplyDeleteI love this, Tracey! The background is my all time favorite and the mushrooms look amazing! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteOh all these neutrals make me very happy, Tracey! What a beauty!

I love those Greetery products, and never once did I think of using the Mighty Oak leaves for this color combination. I couldn't figure out how I'd use the mushrooms so I passed on them. Obviously, that was an error! Love this card; the Shiplap background is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove the shiplap background, a perfect foil for your die cut fungi. There have been plenty of fungi in the fields this year but I don't know enough to risk picking them! :)
ReplyDeleteHaving been able to see this in person, I know that photos just can't capture how glorious this is with the shimmer and shine! Beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful card that totally reminds me of my mother. She loved decorating her garden with toadstools and even had one or two ceramic ones in the house. Glad you got to put this set to good use...finally! I owe you a message as soon as I get caught up on life! Heart Hugs!
