Hi there! Wow September 1st, where did the summer go?
The weather this year has been crazy crazy! Where I am we had beautiful early spring, an awesome June that was hot with no humidity, no black flies or mosquitoes. Sounds amazing so far, right?
Well in comes July--rain so heavy and hard that it drowned most of my annuals and cold! We had smoke advisories due to the crazy wildfires in both northern Ontario and across from Manitoba and B.C. August was just one big record setting heat wave. So I could go on and on but I have the feeling that most of you are experiencing strange weather wherever you are too! Moving on...
I am super excited to finally be able to share with you that I'm joining the amazing designers and team at the Color Hues Color Challenge! After not crafting much this past year I am so excited to be here and hopefully bring you lots of colour inspiration. The Color Hues Challenge is celebrating their first anniversary this month and there is a surprise for you over on the blog.
So many ideas were running through my head but I chose this fun summer stamp by Studio Katia called Citrus Trimmings! I stamped and clear embossed in black and then dusted off and coloured with ZIG markers (colours are linked below). The sentiment is from MFT Stamps Right At Home, that set has so many fabulous sentiments!
Congratulations on the new gig, Tracey! I'm sure Nanc' and the Team are thrilled to have you, as are we! I love your bright and happy card design. A perfect card to inspire us in yellow and orange! Hugs, Darnell
