Happy New Year's Eve! It is so hard to believe that it is the last day of 2019. However, it is exciting because the last day of the month and that means we are posting the 12 Kits of Occasions for December! Marcia, Marcia's Stamping Pad, is our hostess this month and what an amazing kit she put together for all of us with the most charming collection of stamped images, die cuts and embellishments many of which are new to me! Marcia packaged our kits up so beautifully and wrapped like a present. I did not unwrap my kit until I finished all of my Christmas preparations--cards and tags and clean up!
How beautiful is this?
These are the cards and tags that I made for this month...
Please make sure you visit the 12 Kits of Occasions and see what we talented teammates made for this month!
Not only are we beginning the next year, we are beginning the next decade! For me I have set some goals for myself for this year and also for the next decade. Do you set goals for yourself at the beginning of the new year? I want to slow down and take more time for the things the I enjoy--time spent with family & friends, pick up a book and starting reading again, use stamps that I had to have but still sit un-inked! I would love to hear what some of your goals are??
Let's get on with today's card...
I started off by ink blending some Distress Oxide Inks to create a night sky. Once I was pleased with the panel I flicked a bit of gold watercolour onto the panel. The Headline Type Alphabet was used to die cut Happy New Year from gold shimmer cardstock! Once the panel was dry I glued the letters down to the panel. I would recommend using a small T-square or ruler for assistance getting the words lined up!
I am still scrambling getting things done for the big day--wrapping up the last of the gifts and preparing for tonight's dinner. Christmas Eve will just be my family--my hubby and the two kids, appetizers for dinner and Christmas movies by the tree. Christmas day we are heading to my sister's for a big family dinner and then on Boxing Day to my mother in law's house for another family dinner. Busy, busy, busy like Christmas always is.
I am up on the A Jillian Vance Design blog today with a collection of some of my favourite Christmas cards made with A Jillian Vance Design products. I hope your join me as I take a walk down memory lane!
Can you believe that Christmas less than a week away?
I can't believe that it snuck up on me so fast this year! November as you know was consumed with Christmas Tags and once it was over for this year I had to kick into high gear to get this years Christmas cards finished up. Note to self, next year I need to be making them all year--lol!
I corralled up all the cards that I did manage to make during this past year and saw I needed quite a few more. Sometimes mass producing cards can be difficult but I decided to make batches of cards at one time and ended up with four different designs. I am sure I should make up a few more because there is always that moment at Christmastime that you need just one more!
I have linked the products at the bottom of the post. The stamps I used for the MFT Snowflakes are retired but I linked to the new sets that are similar!
