Undercover Tech Week - Quatrefoil Cover Die and a Giveaway

tracey_quatre

This week is Tech Week at A Jillian Vance Design!
The theme of this release is Undercover!

Today I am introducing the gorgeous brand new Quatrefoil Cover Plate die! This die has so much lovely detail with the two sizes of quatrefoil shapes.

For my card today I used the Elegant Christmas stamp set to stamp and watercolour the poinsettia image. The image was stamped and clear embossed with Versafine Onyx black ink on to a panel of watercolour paper. I watercoloured the image with pan watercolours and a waterbrush. I used the waterbrush to wet the inside of the wells created from the embossing one small section at a time. Then I added the colour to the well and used the waterbrush to move it around. I set the panel aside to dry.

While the panel was drying I used the Quatrefoil Cover Plate to cut a panel of white sparkle cardstock. I used the A Jillian Vance Design Just Glue It liquid adhesive to adhere the shimmery quatrefoil piece to my top folding A2 sized white card base.

Once the watercolour poinsettia was completely dry I fussy cut the poinsettia using sharp detail scissors right along the edge of the embossing lines. I added the poinsettia over the quatrefoil piece with foam tape for dimension. I finished off the card on the inside with a sentiment from the Merry KISSmas stamp set stamped in black!

  3. The poinsettia looks like it's made
    from stained glass. Love those
    flowers (look forward to Christmas
    because I'll get some for
    decorations). The background
die makes a pretty base for it.
