Summer Fun - June 2019

It's the last day of May and time for this month's 12 Kit of Occasions post! Birgit from Crafting While I Wait was is our hostess this month and what a fabulous summer fun filled kit she sent to each of us! This is the first time I have created since I had my surgery. One of the great things about the 12 Kits it that when we each receive our packages most of the stamping and cutting is already done. So with the help of my lovely daughter for some of the muscle work I was able to put four cards together to post today!

Sympathy Vine

tracey_SympathyVine

  Hi there and Happy Tuesday!
I'm popping in today with a card for Jillian Vance Design for my regular Tuesday post.

I blended a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock with two shades of green Distress Oxide inks, splattered the panel with some clean water and set it aside to dry. Once dry I cut the Swirly Vine die from the panel. Another panel was cut using the largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dot Backdrop set and the 'with sympathy' sentiment from the Bold Butterfly stamp set was stamped on to it. The panel was adhered to the card base with foam tape. Finally I used the new Jillian Vance Design Just Glue It glue pen to add glue to the back of the main stem of the vine and adhered it to the panel leaving some of the leaves and swirls loose for added interest.

Potted Cactus

  Hi there and Happy Tuesday!
I'm popping in today with a card for A Jillian Vance Design for my regular Tuesday post.

I have been absent because I had surgery last week on my clavicle. Some of you may remember when I broke my collarbone the week before I started the 25 Days of Christmas Tags in 2017! The bone never fused back together and I have had a lot of discomfort since using my right arm. After much deliberation I decided to have a plate put in and have the bone surgically reattached. I am happy to report after only one week that it is nothing like breaking it in the first place! Although I am still looking at 4 to 6 weeks for recovery with my arm immobilized in a slinging think it was a good decision.

A really clean and simple card using the Cute Cactus die set and the Petite Pot & Vase die set. The images were coloured with COPIC markers and I adhered them to the card base with a combination of tape runner and foam tape.  The sentiment from the Sucker for You stamp set is stamped in black ink directly to the bottom of the top folding card base.

This card as made ahead of time and I hope you find time to pop over to A Jillian Vance Design to see what fun products I used to create it.

Tag You're It Challenge #88

There is still time to play along with Tag You're It Challenge #88!
You have until Wednesday, June 5th at 9:00 am EST to submit a tag based on our Spring Flowers challenge!

When I think of Spring Flowers I always think of tulips and how I can't wait to see which of my bulbs will come up in the spring--which ones first? where will they come up? and of course how many?

So I made a tag using Lawn Fawn's Fab Flowers stamp set I love the detail of the tulip bloom!
