Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #52

Hi there, I'm excited to share a card I made for Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #52 using the new Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer. I was a bit nervous to give this die a try but actually it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Definitely makes me smile every time I pull the tab!

The challenge is to show some love for beloved pets, well turtles can be pets too especially if they are cute as this little guy.

Happy Birthday Bloom

I am up on the A Jillian Vance Design blog today with a card I created with the Delgithful Daisy Die Set and Distress Oxide inks.

Hope you have a chance to pop over and say hello!

Picket Fence Studios First Anniversary Celebration

Hi there and wishing you a very Happy Tuesday! I am so excited to be a part of Picket Fence Studios First Anniversary Celebation! For the entire month of May they are celebrating their birthday and what a party they are having!

I am so honored to be one of their guest during the celebrations. Today is my day to post a project here on my blog and to offer a giveaway! More information about my special discount code and my giveaway later in the post! If you haven't heard about Picket Fence Studios or haven't seen their fun and unique designs you are in for a real treat today. Not only do they create that most fabulous stamps and dies but they are also the company that sells the Life Changing Blender Brushes that honestly will rock your world when it comes to ink blending! I have a card and video to share with you today so let's get started...

I used the beautifully designed Peony Bouquet Stamp Set for the flowers on my card and the Thank You Stamp Set for my sentiment.

I started out by masking, stamping and white embossing the blooms from the stamp set onto a panel a Bristol Smooth cardstock. I stamped and embossed each bloom one at a time. After the embossing was done I used the Life Changing Blender Brushes to sponge Distress Oxide Inks on to my panel overlapping the colours slightly to create a rainbow blend.

I flicked some clean water on to the panel and picked up some of the colour with a paper towel.  Once the panel was completely dried I stamped and clear embossed the 'thank you' sentiment using VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  The entire panel was popped up with foam tape and I finished it off with a few clear sparkling sequins!

I also have a video to better show you how I created my card with multi-step embossing and ink blending with these amazing brushes here and on my YouTube channel. I would love it if you let me know if you enjoyed my video by giving it a thumbs up and while you are there.

Thanks Friend

Happy Monday!

I hope all the mother's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!
I spent Sunday with my family going to the garden centre which seems to be a bit of a thing with us each year on Mother's Day. Since we have had an unseasonably cool and rainy spring no 'real' flowers came home this week, we will wait a couple more weeks and hope the weather improves some. So today I came home with a green wreath for my front door and some  faux flowers for me to place on the wreath. I'll be sure to share a photo once it it done.

An update on the flooding here. Things are much better and the town is now focused on recovery efforts. The army reserves have left after being enormously helpful and we are forever thankful for them and all of the volunteers who came together to keep everyone safe, fed and helped and are helping clean up the debris. The water going through the falls is not so violent anymore and the waters are receding along the river. So good news all around!

I have a post and video up on the Birch Press Design blog today for this rainbow card, I hope you head over and let me know what you think...

For the Graduate

Well here we re the last day of April and posting the April 12 Kits of Occasions!

I just got back from an amazing and restful vacation to Turks & Caicos with my husband and very dear friends. Summer is is full swing on the island, in fact it always it there but it was just what we all needed after what was a long, cold and dreary winter.

As usual the days of 2019 are whizzing by but so happy to see the tell tale signs of spring--warmer temperatures, snow almost 100% gone, buds on the trees and the first robin of the season! It makes me so happy!

Kara Lynn, Bright Hope Creations,  was our hostess this month with her debut kit as a 12 Kits of Occasions designer themed--For the Graduate! The kit is full of everything you want to create those perfect cards for the graduates in your life! Papers, stamped images, die cuts and embellishments that are just perfect for the occasion. All of the amazing kit contents can be found in the Monthly Kits Supplies on the 12 Kits blog.

So lets get things started with what I created with this amazing kit...

Please be sure to head over to the 12 Kits of Occasions blog to see what the rest of the fabulous designers did with their kits!

Rainbow Hello

Hi there and Happy Wednesday, we are whizzing through another week!

I woke up this morning to find out that my town is in a State of Emergency for flooding! At present we are not too concerned as we live up quite high and although the ravine that runs through our lot is quite swollen the problem exists in town where the waterfall is. I really hope that the people who live along the river are not effected by the rising waters. Mother Nature has thrown this world a lot of surprises in the last couple years.

I have a card and video up on the Birch Press Design blog today.  I hope you have a chance to see how I made my rainbow background for my favourite mandala cover die.

You can watch my video  here or over on my YouTube channel. I would love it if you let me know if you enjoyed my video by giving it a thumbs up or subscribing to my channel.

Have a wonderful day!

Tag You're It #85

Happy Easter!

Whatever you are doing this weekend I hope that you are spending it with your family and that spring has finally found you. I just got home yesterday from my vacation and even though it has really warmed up where I live it still feels a bit chilly compared to the warmth of Turks & Caicos-lol!

Feeling recharged, I created a tag for challenge #85 over at Tag You're It!

You have until Wednesday, April 24th, 9:00 am EST to play along.
Pop over to the Tag You`re It blog and have a look at all the gorgeous tags created by the Inspiration Team and our guest designer, Kathy Straw!

I created the rainbow of colours using Distress Oxide Inks--Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers. The silly little bunny is peaking out again from behind the eggs.

I hope you head over to A Jillian Vance Design to see what I used to create my card.
Happy a hoppy day!

Tag You're It #84 and MFTWSC431

Happy Friday!

There is still time to play along with!
You Have until 9:00 am EST April 10th to link up your tags!

Tag You're It designer and resident coffee guru Erin Thiem chose the Theme for this challenge and she actually staged and took the photo!!

I used MFT Stamps Coffee Date and Coffee Break stamps.  This is such  a fun set because you can stamp the outlines and stamp the fill images in any colour you like. You can line them up perfectly or you can  artfully misalign them! I used the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch #431.

When you add a tag at Tag You`re It you can create a card, just as long as it has a tag on it somewhere, big or small!
