SugarPea Designs Fall 2017 Product Release Sweet Peeks - Day 4

Welcome back to the SugarPea Designs  Fall 2017 Product Release Sweet Peeks!

We are sharing Sweet Peeks of new products each day this week that will be available for purchase on Friday, August 25th at 6:00 pm (EST).

Today the team is showcasing three more new products we know you are going to love!

As soon as I saw the Mandala stamp I knew that I would be reaching for it again and again. The pattern is beautiful and the options are endless with it. For my first project today I stamped and white embossed the Mandala clear stamp onto a 4" square piece of white Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then I sponged Distress Inks in rainbow colours on an angle from the bottom right to the top left of the panel. Then I flicked some water onto the panel and absorbed the excess with paper towel to remove some of the ink and leave waterspots. Then I adhered the panel to a top folding 4.25" x 4.25" white card base. Next I die cut You using the new You SugarCut die from black cardstock. I stamped and white embossed a sentiment from the Sweet Sentiments - You clear stamp set also on black cardstock and trimmed the sentiment down. I adhered the You and nestled the sentiment underneath.

For my second card I stamped and white embossed the Mandala clear stamp onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I sponged three shades of Distress Oxide ink onto my panel and then I flicked some water onto the panel and absorbed the excess with paper towel to remove some of the ink. The properties of Distress Oxide ink will layer the colours, the ink does not absorb into the paper the same way it does with regular Distress Ink. So I took a tissue and wiped away some of the ink that was 'hiding' the mandala so that the brilliant white popped. I stamped my sentiment in the bottom right corner of the card with VersaFine ink. I had to allow my panel to dry well before adhering it to my card base.

  4. Two fabulous cards, Tracey! That rainbow card has such a vibrant background and the mandala in white is wonderful. LOVE this sentiment set! Your second card is perfect for a Fall birthday; those colors are amazing. I'd have never thought to use that palette. Normally, I'm not a mandala fan, but these cards are simply stunning. Bev
