SugarPea Designs Fall 2017 Product Release Sweet Peeks - Day 1

Happy Monday and welcome to the first day of SugarPea Designs  Fall 2017 Product Release sweet peeks!

We hope that you will join us over the next 5 days as we share sweet peeks of new products that will be available for purchase on Friday, August 25th at 6:00 pm (EST). I don't know about you but this summer went far too quickly but the only good news is that fall is on it's way and that is my favourite time of the year!

We are so excited to introduce two new fabulous paper collections designed by Simonne Clay.
These are going to be a staple in your crafting!

Time for some cute new critters and a fabulous new Cover Plate!

For my first card I combined all of today`s introductions on to one card. I began by die cutting and embossing the Arrow Cover Plate SugarCut with a piece of kraft cardstock. Isn`t this a brilliant design. The die is designed so that you can cut and emboss the details at the same time. To give the embossing pieces a deeper emboss I ran the plate through my die cut machine a second time using the embossing matts without removing the piece from the SugarCut die. I chose orange polka dot paper from the new Spots & Stripes Brights Collection because I felt the two orange behind the kraft cover plate would really pop! Then I stamped and Copic coloured the cute raccoon from the Indian Summer clear stamp set and die cut the image with the co-ordinating Indian Summer SugarCut dies. A sentiment from the Indian Summer clear stamp set was stamped in chocolate ink onto a white previously released, Zig Zig Stitched Circle SugarCut. The circle and the raccoon were adhered with foam tape for dimension.

For my second card I die cut cream cardstock with the new Arrow Cover Plate SugarCut die and then I die cut it again two more time using peach, blue and yellow polka dot papers from the Pastels Patterned Paper Collection. I am quickly seeing how these versatile new paper collections are going to become a staple in my crafting supplies. I laid ScorTape onto a cream 4.25" x 5.5" top folding card base and put down the cream arrow cover plate die cut. Then I inlaid cream pieces mixed with the coloured polka dot pieces into it. I finished it off by stamping and gold heat embossing a sentiment from the Indian Summer clear stamp set onto kraft cardstock and cut it usign a Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle SugarCut die. I adhered it to the card base with foam tape.
