It's a Guy Thing - June '17

Welcome the the June edition of the 12 Kit of Occasions!

As I typed that sentence I thought to myself, wow we are half way through 2017! It always amazes me how quickly time seems to pass.

This month designer Michele Ferguson is our hostess with a kit full of patterned papers, die cuts, stamps and embellishments for those guys in your life. It is something you hear all the time from cardmakers that making masculine cards are the hardest to make. However, if you are equipped with all the neat stuff that Michele sent to us, that task just got a whole lot easier.

SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #32

Time for another new Mix It Up challenge at SugarPea Designs! You have all month to play along with us, and each week several of our designers will share some fresh inspiration with their take on the challenge. Remember the more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning a $50 gift certificate to our store!!!

For my card today I used products from the new Summer Products Release using both the sketch and the inspiration colours. I used two different patterns from the new Happy Camper Patterned Paper Collection.  I stamped my scene using  RV There Yet? stamps and die cut the images with the coordinating RV There Yet? SugarCut Dies. The images were coloured with Copic Markers.

Crafty Christmas Collaboration with Jessica Frost-Ballas

Hello Friends! I am so excited today to finally tell you that I am joining my friend Jessica Frost-Ballas, All the Sparkle, in her 2017 Crafty Christmas Collaboration! I am so honoured to have been asked by Jessica to join her. This is such a brilliant idea that she came up with so that she could work on her Christmas card stash for the coming holiday season. Basically we each exchange some Christmas crafty goodies and then on the 25th of the month we each will post what we made with the goodies we received as well as the goodies we sent.

Here is what Jessica sent for me to play with:

I made two cards with the goodies she sent to me. I Copic coloured the scarves and nose on these adorable snowman and added a bit of shading.







This is the kit that I sent to Jessica...

I chose to use the three trees cut from a Distress Oxide background and put them on to a white panel I watercoloured with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. Then I adhered the panel to a silver sparkle mat.
