SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #31

Time for another new Mix It Up challenge at SugarPea Designs! You have all month to play along with us, and each week several of our designers will share some fresh inspiration with their take on the challenge. Remember the more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning a $50 gift certificate to our store!!!

Making my card for today's Mix It Up challenge just made me so happy! It has been a long, tough winter and I am so happy that things are warming up, the sun is shining and the flowers are blooming. My card was inspired by both the Inspiration photo and the sketch for this month. I used the recently released Breakfast in Bed stamps and SugarCuts for my card. I started with a daffodil yellow panel and then cut a white Zig Zag Stitched SugarCuts to layer over it as in the sketch. Before I adhered it I stamped the Get Well Soon sentiment from the Breakfast in Bed stamp set to the bottom of the circle in black ink.  I cut the vase from the Breakfast in Bed SugarCuts vellum and sponged some blue Distress Ink on the back for my water. Then I cut three bouquets of daisies from the Breakfast in Bed stamp set to create my larger bouquet. The flowers were coloured with Copic markers and arranged together to form a larger bouquet that was adhered behind the vase. I finished the card off with a few clean sequins filled with silver Stickles.
