Well he we are on the last day of May, and that means it's time for this month's edition of The 12 Kits of Occasions. This month we have teammate Birgit Norton, Crafting Wile I Wait, as our hostess. We are excited because this is Birgit's first time putting a kit together for us and what a kit she sent to us all. A beautiful array of fabulous homespun and vintage papers, stamped images and die cuts all in honor of her mom who created in Birgit's words a 'homelife life' for her and her family growing up. I had so much fun designing with these beautiful, rich colour tones.

Glitter Hello
I have a card to share from my crafty retreat last weekend. A group of us who live within a few hours of Toronto got together and went to a retreat in the country. Stephanie Klauck, Marcie Sharp, Ardyth Percy-Robb, Natasha Kara and myself. Stephanie Marcie and I came in from the south, west and north each driving about 2 1/2 hours. Ardyth and Natasha came in from the east with 1 1/2 hour drive. As you probably guessed there was a lot of chatter, laughter and crafting. Gorgeous weather, a quaint location and delicious food.
This one was from a shoebox swap card created by Marcie Sharp, Sharp Designs. In the past glitter and I have not gotten along at all but with Marcie's design using Scor Tape the glitter stayed where it was supposed to stay.

Inspired by All the Little Things #58
It's my turn to host over at Inspired By All the Little Things!
I chose this inspiration photo partly because I love the ombre colours ad partly because the moment I saw it I had my guest in mind. I couldn't wait to create a similar ombre using Distress Inks. I blended Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed Distress Ink for my background. I stamped and white embossed the flower bouquet from Altenew's Best Mom, the sentiment is from the Adore You set.
A little closer look:
Head over to Inspired By All the Little Things and see who I have as my guest this week, I think you might have already guessed who it is!
