Can't get enough of my ZIG's these days. I have been working with them a lot during the 30 Day Coloring Challenge trying out different techniques for using them that I am actually starting to feel comfortable with them. I love how fluid they are which makes blending easy if you use the right kind of paper. Today I used watercolour paper for my design instead of the Strathmore Bristol I have been using lately. I think it definitely blends best with the Bristol but for my card today I had originally set out to do something different and used watercolour paper but ended up changing to my ZIG's. Still worked out but I think it would have been better with the Bristol.

Can't wait to see what you make...

For Day 29 of Kathy Racoosin's 5th 30 Day Coloring Challenge!
This is also for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog: Anything Goes!
I agree Bristol is best for zigs but it is also a fun and different look with the watercolor paper. Maybe it is the texture? You can see the brush strokes and they don't blend as easily....beautifully done card!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Tracey. And I agree that it works better on Bristol paper.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous watercoloring on your rose and leaves, Tracey! I really love how you added the soft blue outline, too! Such a lovely CAS sympathy card!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely!! Really like the blue around the flower-makes it POP!! I have tried and tried with my Zigs but they are not as fun as Copics are to me. Maybe I just need to use them more....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
