Muse ChristmasVisions #46 and Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #250

IMG_0192

Sharing a card made for this week's Muse Christmas Vision where my friend Stephanie Klauck is the guest designer using Laurie Willison's Masked Backgrounds technique that she shared in this week's Make It Monday Video.

This is Stephanie's fabulous card here:

I was inspired by Stephanie's use of a Distress Inked background and the silhouette image that extended beyond the background border. I created my mask using Post It tape and sponged two shades of Distress Ink--Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron. Then I flicked some water droplets on to the inked background. Once dry I stamped the Mistletoe image from Mistletoe and Holly using Jet Black Archival Ink and they finally added my sentiment. The last step was to add a sparkly mat to my masked background, another technique I have learned from Stephanie. Here is the finished product and another card for my Christmas card stash:

I am also submitting this to this week's Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes
