Crafty Girl Weekend

Happy Monday!

It's hard to believe last Thursday it was almost too hot to sit outside when Sunday, yesterday, was a blustery cold fall day! After raining all day Saturday it was snowing and raining yesterday. That groundhog better look out if he see's me coming towards him--lol!

All that being said what a fabulous weekend handing out with my crafty girls!
On Friday my friend, Stephanie, drove up to my place for the weekend.  She had about a three hour drive and with our scheduled craft day on Saturday it would have been too much driving for one day. Saturday Ardyth and her daughter Kate, Tasha, Lindsey and my daughter Brooklyn joined us for the day and a crafting frenzy.

I had a productive weekend starting with this card made on Friday for Tasha's birthday this coming Tuesday:

Friday night I played with Altenew's Peony Bouquet and made a set of thank you notes:

I had a chance to play with Lindsey's Magenta water-soluable powders. First time ever and they are so cool. Really loose and messy but it was really fun and now on my wish list.

ETA: Ordered some this morning-lol!

I have a few more projects to finish up from sets I stamped and die cut from the girls.

Now my daughter has never really taken much of an interest in making cards other than out of necessity but she fell in love with the Hero Arts Flamingo and with some urging from the girls she created a fabulous card. I won't share it here. She will share it on her own, but once she has it is fair game to show you. She actually asked me on Sunday night if we could craft again Monday after she finishes work. I think she caught the bug!

Have a great day and see you tomorrow for CASology and the colourQ!

I am adding a few of these to this week`s Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Flowers!

  2. How fun to have the next generation participate as well. I love the look of your watercolour card. I really must have another play with my Brushos. Over here in Greece, the weather is playing tricks on us as well. Normally, we have very stable and sunny weather in May, but yesterday it was raining for a large part of the day (perfect for crafting), whereas today it's sunny and hot.
Have a wonderful week or, as they say in Greek, Kali evdomada!

  8. Looks like a fun weekend was had by all! Loving your projects, Tracey, and YAY for your daughter joining in! My daughter (she's 15), is very talented artistically but doesn't seem to want to join me in card making, which makes me sad. I'm hoping one day she will :)
