We all have them, those projects we started but never quite got to finishing them. This year I am really going to try to finish some of those. Today I have a card created with a panel I stamped and embossed a few months ago.
I did an emboss resist technique using Distress Inks, Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers to be exact. These colours go together beautifully, much more vibrant in real life. My sentiment was die cut in white and then coloured using a black Copic marker. A super quick and easy thank you card!
Beautiful! I love the inking...such a gorgeous spectrum of color. And way to go on finishing it off :)
ReplyDeleteI so know what you mean, Tracey. I've taken the same vow this year too - get those projects done! Doing pretty well overall so far. And your card here....Oh. My. Gosh!!! This is gorgeous. Those colors with the white embossed image is stunning. So glad you shared this with us. It's beautiful!! Make more please!! Bev
ReplyDeleteThis turned out beautifully, Tracey! I had to laugh at your comment about "unfinished" bits & pieces. I too have a slew of them. Put them into this little tray that I always threaten to throw away one day, but never have the heart to (one never knows, right? You just proved that!)
ReplyDeleteLOL funny I have a HUGE box of pieces like that and today I was going to see about pulling cards together also! :D
ReplyDeleteI love your BG, one of my favorite color combos! TFS
Such a gorgeous background, Tracey! I've got a few unfinished projects sitting around myself, really should turn them into cards :)
ReplyDeleteI love your color combination! It's a perfect thank you card! Yes, I agree, I certainly have lots of unfinished projects!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Tracey. I confess that I save all the little bits from projects started and never finished. Then after a few weeks of staring at them and not using them they usually find their way into the trash bin! I'm so glad you put your unfinished project to good use!
ReplyDeleteI think I might remember this panel being embossed! Looks great with the bold colours.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Tracey!!
ReplyDeleteIt's really gorgeous, Tracey! Glad you took time to finish it. I have a box for partially done projects but rarely think to get them back out.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Tracey!! I love the colors in this! I'm doing the same with my half-finished cards. So tired of having that box sit there and yell at me all the time!! Enjoy your day!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning Tracey!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors Tracey, and I bet it is lovely to feel the texture of the embossing.
ReplyDeleteSo elegant, Tracey ... those colours are just gorgeous together! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. Love how your sponged background looks--very pretty colors and yay for pulling out something old and finishing it.
ReplyDeleteYup - those colours are pretty perfect together and that stamped image is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! And you're right, those two colors are quite gorgeous and vibrant together.
ReplyDeleteAnother really beautiful card! Love your color combo, and how your sentiment pops against the background!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful and you are right, I too have lots of unfinished projects, one of these days I will have to pull that bin out.
