Time Out Challenges #50 and NBUS Challenge #6

IMG_9794

As I am posting this card I am officially snowed in!
There has been no shortage of snow in Muskoka. Apparently we have been lucky this year so I am told, but we have bascially had a base of about 1 1/2 feet of snow since Christmas. It gets a bit bigger then is goes down a bit but the base has stayed the same. It is pretty to look at but like everyone, byt eh end of February we are ready for spring. Mother Nature obviously had other plans for March because there is over 3 feet of snow surrounding the house tonight! Pictures at the bottom of the post if you're interested. It has not snowed this much in one day here this year. Poor Sam can't go out the back because the snow is too deep, so Wednesday morning we will have to shovel him a path. Fortunately we have someone come in to plow our laneway and the city has been fantastic at keeping the roads clear but even still I think it may be a day or two before I can get out. So lots of Crafty time!

I have a card today for Time Out Challenges #50. I loved the inspiration photo. I am right in on the wire with it.

I am also submitting this to Darnell's 6th NBUS Challenge! Can you believe it?
My NBUS is the PTI Comic Book Cover Plate die and the PTI City Scene stamps. The City Scene was another one of the sets that was temporarily lost in basement after the move.

Here is my patio table--honest it is in there!

and out the front door, this was taken just before bed--it had been shoveled two times already!

Now the saying goes March is in like a lion and out like a lamb...if we are not seeing spring by the end of March that groundhog better run!

  3. What a coincidence. I just got my PTI comic coverplate and am using it as my entry into Darnell's NBUS challenge. My card doesn't look anything like yours, Tracey, and yours is fantastic. Those 'squares'were a great way to follow the inspiration

Thanks for sharing the photos of your snow covered property :) It really does look beautiful, but I'm sure you're looking forward to spring! Stay safe, and enjoy your crafty time!

  8. Love the different panels on your card and wonderful Eiffel Tower with heart next to it! Wow...tons of snow for you. We had just a tad here. We've been very lucky that the snow has gone around us for the most part this winter. I'm sure spring will be here before we know it!:-)

  11. Your card is PERFECT for the inspiration! I also love your snow, but I too agree that, other than crafty time, it would get old after awhile. However, I do wanna see you take on that groundhog!!! Call me...

  12. OMG--look at that snow. So, perhaps you will not want me to whine that it has been in the mid-50s here overnight? Anyway, your TO card is such a fantastic design. Love that you kept it black and white, and that die is a great way to show off lots of different elements and yet keep your overall look CAS. Thanks so much for playing along at Time Out.

  14. I like your little black and white city scene Tracey! Oh my goodness that snow is incredible!! I remember having to shovel paths for Max to get out. But he loved the snow so much he would jump all through the deepest parts once he was out there!!

  15. Ooh la la! Your card is tres chic! I love the Eiffel Tower and your black and white colors. As for the snow, I've got to be honest and say that I'm happy that you're happy about it but if it were me, I'd be very unhappy about it! Don't get me wrong, it usually snows a lot where I live so I'm used to the white stuff, but this year we've been spared the worst of it and I'm loving it! It sure is pretty, but boo for shoveling!

  16. Love the monochromatic black & white and the paneled layout--very cool! And look at all that incredible cool white stuff outside of your door! We've had only about 1/8 inch this year--so unusual. Wish we could have a little bit of yours, but just a very little!

  19. Nice card!
I'm a bit jealous of the snow, we barely have any here in Niagara Falls, Canada.
My son is a bit disappointed, but Spring is around the corner. Being creative always helps me get out of my dumps and blues.
