One of the world's most amazing transparent free swimming marine animals is a jellyfish. Yes it is an animal (I checked). They have unique umbrella shaped bell with trailing stinging tentacles they use to capture their prey. What is cool about them is that they are for the most part clear, there are some varieties that are beautiful colours but they are always transparent. Okay enough of a biology lesson, let's get to the card...
My interpretation this week for clear is jellyfish. Cute ones, not ones that might sting you in the water at the beach. I watercoloured my panel to create the water and then attached Copic coloured jellyfish with foam tape. I added a few clear sequins for bubbles under the water. An easy to create bithday card.
Head over to CASology to see what the rest of the Design Team created this week. Hope to see you play along with us.

ReplyDeleteIf you come to California the Monterey Aquarium has a great jelly fish exhibit.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd be OK with it if I had to share the ocean with these cute jelly fish...but not any others! It is amazing how some varieties can be clear, isn't it? Very fun card and cute interpretation of the cue!

That is darling Tracey! Love your watercolored background too!
ReplyDeleteWe used to see blue jellyfish washed up on shore when we wintered in Alabama. I should say clear with a blueish tone. Those are darling ones on your card.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant take on the cue word, Tracey!! We get a lot of Portuguese Man O' War jellyfish here. They're a gorgeous blue/purple colour but their sting is wicked.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! One of my favorite things to see at the aquarium...but your jellies are much cuter than the real ones. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is just adorable...love your sweet little jellies.
ReplyDeleteHello Tracey: I love this adorable little Jelly Fish, they look so sweet, like you totally could just grab them and give them a big hug, LOL!! Unlike the real ones, which are beautiful and cute but not hug-able at all.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
Maria Rodriguez.
