ReplyDeleteLovely tags, yours is especially 'spot on'! Turkey for both? Yes please!! Not a ham person, unless it's black forest, but since one doesn't usually host both, I think turkey is appropriate!
ReplyDeleteI don't eat meat so no turkey for me. However the rest of the fam do we alternate between turkey and goose while I have something vegetarian. Another day of lovely tags. Thanks, Tracey!

Turkey for Thanksgiving and Swiss Steak for Christmas. Family tradition. My parents wouldn't let my husband have the recipe before we were married. Super funny!

ReplyDeleteTurkey for Thanksgiving but not for Christmas. For Christmas, my daughter and her boyfriend come, and they are vegetarians, so I make a veggie lasagna! Have done that the past several years and everybody likes it! Less work too!
We have pork on Christmas. I get a standing rib roast, fill it with dressing, and then all the other trimmings.
ReplyDeleteDelicious. When my husband was alive I had to make spaghetti and meatballs for him on Thanksgiving and the rest of us ate turkey.
We helped him with his spaghetti too.

ReplyDeleteOur holiday menu depends on our travel plans (no turkey if we are leaving town the next because of the leftovers....) so it all depends.

We don't have Thanksgiving here but we do love our turkey, so it is part of our traditional Christmas lunch every year and it is part of family celebrations throughout the year too.
Love your tag Tracey. We don't celebrate anything here in Macau, there is Chinese thanksgiving based on their lunar calendar, and my family has become a global family not just an Indian who lives next to china ;) We celebrate all festivals.

Turkey for Thanksgiving only. Our Christmas Eve tradition is Chinese takeout and on Christmas my MIL cooks an Italian meal. Love the tags and thank you for the inspiration.

My very Mexican family does a very traditional American Thanksgiving. I had a friend ask once, "So, do you have yummy food like enchiladas and tamales for Thanksgiving?" "Heck no! Thanksgiving is for turkey with all the trimmings!" Of course, being a very Mexican family, Christmas is definitely a tamale day. :-)

Maybe I'll do an all vegetarian meal, as my Mom still hasn't accepted that I am one, even after nearly 20 years, and sometimes it's difficult to find much to eat at her house at all.
