RetroSketches #183

Happy Saturday!

It's time for a new sketch at RetroSketches!
This week our sketch is inspired by an adorable card that Arielle previously posted. My theme is inspired by Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I missed the summer hop because we were in the throws of buying, selling and moving but I didn't want to let this one go by without playing. My technique is inspired by Anita Bowden's gorgeous card over at MUSE this week, I went with the technique of embossing, her circles and pastel colour palette.

Yesterday I told you that I still haven't located one of the boxes from my craft room. In that box is my Papertrey Ink Drips & Dribbles stamp set which I wanted to use for my card. So I thought outside the box and grabbed a coffee cup from the kitchen and some kraft ink--wala coffee spills!

I am also linking this up to Time Out Challenges #40 which is to case my card as a reminder there is still time to play along.

Hope to see you join us at RetroSketches this week.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

This is so pretty!! I love the pastel colors with the white and the fun way you used the "coffee" stains on the corner. Great design!

I love where my inspiration card took you, Tracey. Such a cute card and very resourceful with those coffee cup stains. I hope you find your missing box soon! x

Ha! Clever combination of these challenges! You could enter Time Out, and case yourself, too! So glad you joined us at Muse this week, Tracey!

LOVE, LOVE how you went non-traditional with these colors!! What a great card! And you make 'spilling coffee' so easy....would have taken me ages to use a cup instead of the stamp look that good.

Love you used the real cup, really creative idea x

Literally outside the (lost craft) box! Crafters come up with the best ideas!!! This is so pretty Tracey. I love the sweet little embossed mugs sitting in their pretty pastel circles. Wonderful card. Hope that box turns up one of these days...or, heaven forbid, you'll have to shop!!! Bev

Lovely card - love the coloring. And your coffee stains probably came out better doing it yourself. ;-)

Love this - love the happy, pretty colors. And your coffee stains probably came out better handmade rather than using a stamp anyway!
