Spring has finally arrived here, we have enjoyed warm temperatures here for the past week and honestly they are about 2 months late. Typically we warm up in March, the crocus and tulips come up, we get snow/frost/cold or all three which kills the crocus and/or tulips. With everything late, this week my forsythia is in full bloom, the trees have buds opening up, the grass is getting green and my tulips are coming up. I think they will be safe this year. So glad to put a terrible winter behind.
This week's Muse at the Muse Card Club Challenge was Chrissie Stokes with this inspiration...
Even though I am truly a CAS designer, I do like to get messy once in a while. I used stamps and dies from Ellen Hutson, wet and dry embossing as well as Gelatos watercolouring for my card.
Have you seen Sandy Allnock's Copic HexChart?
I got it and spent Saturday night colouring in my chart. What did I realize? I though I had a lot of Copic markers, but looking at this photo not so much. Still lots of colours to fill in...oh boy!
I am submitting this card to the Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge and the Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge.
Love the gorgeous flowers and the embossed background. Stunning!

ReplyDeleteOh, so gorgeous, Tracey! Love the pretty red flowers against the black brick background! I ordered the hex chart, too! I'm sure it'll be very helpful!
ReplyDeleteLove those bloom dies, Tracey. They look great with the embossed black border. Looking at that chart I don't think Copics are for me, there's so many! I'm struggling to complete my collection of ProMarkers so unless I win the lottery I'd better not start! (although I do want some!!) lol x
ReplyDeleteOooooh such a pretty card! That black brick background is awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card. I love those flowers, and your black background looks just like a brick wall. Fantastic. No, I haven't seen that hex chart, but I think I should find one and print it out. Never know when I will need more copics.
ReplyDeleteTracey...this is one gorgeous card and that black brick background (say that fast 3 times), is simply amazing! And I am shocked that you do not own every color copic...LOL
