CCC #136

Happy Tuesday and time for another new Cue Card at CASology!
This week the cue word is:

I love the texture that embossing paste brings to projects. I don't use it a lot but whenever I do I ask myself why I don't more. This week I wanted to add clouds to my background but I don't have a cloud stencil so I made my own. The first run I made it from cardstock, actually too thick cardstock, so by the time I finished leveling it it was far to thick and the cardstock stencil was warping. So I set it aside and tried again but this time using a piece of copy paper which gave me the thin coverage I was looking for but when I pulled it off  it chose to smudge my cloud. No three times a charm for this CAS girl, embossing paste doesn't have to be perfect does it? After both panels were dry I actually liked the smudged version the best, the smudge actually looks like another cloud in the background. I can live with that.  My basket is attached to the bottom of my hot air balloon...

  11. Yup! Great minds certainly think alike! :D Love the shading on your balloon and your clouds rock! Real clouds don't often have perfectly defined edges anyway do they? They're wispy and fluffy which you've captured perfectly!
