My card today is my Day 18 colouring for Kathy Racoosin`s 30 Day Color Challenge!
Kathy was encouraging us to doodle and then to colour of doodle designs. One thing I can't do is draw, when I was younger I could draw and as a child took art lessons. I have difficulty with fine motor skills now, one of the symptoms of my MS. I usually start off okay but then the paths get crossed and the signal between my brain and my hands get out of sync. So what I did is use a doodle stamp design and then coloured my images. Yes using Copics to colour can be scary too, for the same reasons, I just go really slow--LOL
I coloured and shared the two smaller images on Instagram the other day...
I finished the larger flower on Saturday and adhered it with foam tape for some dimension.

The completed card...
My daughter arrives back home tonight!
Sunday morning she was flying from Athens back to Rome and then from Rome direct to Toronto. She should be getting home around 8:00 pm local time.
We are so excited to see her!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Absolutely lovely Tracey. I love the doodled flowers and how you colored them. I know exactly what you mean when you say Copics can be scarey. I agree, I get intimidated at times by them.
ReplyDeleteLove this so much Tracey!! The die cut flower is beautiful. The white edges really make it POP off the card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. I love and long for the doodled flower set. Love the way you have used them here.
ReplyDeleteYour doodled flowers turned out great, Tracey. Also love your umbrella card. I can imagine you're thrilled your daughter will come home today. Funny to think she was only a short flight away from me, since I live in Crete. The only time I visited Athens was when we had to renew our passports at the Dutch embassy a litle over a year ago.
ReplyDeleteyou are rocking the colouring Tracey. It only seems like yesterday that you daughter went away, a fleeting visit! I am sure you are so excited to see her x

ReplyDeleteTracey this is just beautiful! I love the colors you used and your coloring looks amazing to me! To answer the question you asked on my blog the other day, I don't have great eyesight. I wear glasses and then super strong readers when I color. I'm getting old! haha! Oh and the stencil I used on the WPLUS9 card, was just a circle die I cut out of thin card stock :) Have a great week my friend! :)

ReplyDeleteGee-orgeous! Wowza this is a stunner. I'm sure that it can be frustrating to not be able to make your hands do what your brain wants it to do. I have that problem without MS! Sending hugs and letting you know that your work is amazing - just like you!
ReplyDeleteWow, your colouring is stunning, Tracey ... the shades you've used are just gorgeous ... rich and luscious! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteTracey, I'm thrilled that even though you find colouring a challenge, you step right up to the plate and persevere! Net result: dazzling doodles! Your choice of colours, your actual colouring and your overall card: work of art! Love this - and love how you inspire all of us to stretch ourselves in whatever ways we can!
