Happy Monday, I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
Spent lots of time organizing this weekend, the weather outside was frigid so organizing in my craft room seemed the right thing to do. I have most of my supplies organized but pre-Jennifer McGuire I had most of my clear stamps on 8 1/2" x 11" acetate in binders on the shelf. So anything new in the last 2 years is new system but those older stamps needed to be converted over. So I as trimming them down and dropping them into the pockets. Man I have a lot of stamps! The task isn't done, but I did a lot.
I have a card for Muse Card Challenge #101
Marion's gorgeous card was, for me, a tricky one to tackle but I came up with something that was inspired by her card but definitely more in my comfort zone. Sadly I have a need to replenish my Sympathy cards. I have had to send out far too many in the last couple of months--elderly, a child who was far far too young and some fur babies too. I used an older Papertrey ink set called Flower Garden for my card. I just got this set last summer, but it was on my wish list forever. I love how you can build the flowers however you chose.
Welcome Nancy who is a new follower to my blog, you should check out her blog she has some fabulous projects and a great sense of humor too!
Love your card, Tracey--beautiful use of Marion's inspiration!

ReplyDeleteThat set works so well for a sympathy card in this way, Tracey! Thank you for the inspiration; it's always a challenge to come up with sympathy card designs that are just right. I like how you introduced the delightful Nancy!
ReplyDeleteNow you've inspired me to go make a path through the Playhouse! You guys would not believe the state of neglect it is in from me devoting all my time to the NBUS challenge. Oops! Hugs, Darnell

ReplyDeleteSympathy cards are so hard to make, but you really did a great job on this one. I love the placement of the elements, great lines.
ReplyDeleteYay for getting lots done! Yes, I think we all have way too many stamps....but thats part of the fun! At least we don’t lose them like the guys lose golf balls.
ReplyDeleteLove you take on the sketch... so pretty!
Just so pretty Tracey and so happy to hear you have been so busy getting organized too. I will leave my key under my matt tomorrow and would love for you to come by and get all of my supplies organized too.
ReplyDeleteI like reading about other people's organization ... it's so much less painful than actually organizing myself! Hope you get to make a lot more progress!
ReplyDeleteLove your sympathy card with the blues and greens on it. Great flow to your flowers and vines!
I've never seen this flower before! I love it! The gold embossing and beautiful stamping is stunning!
ReplyDeleteYour organization-bee sounds like fun: a chance to re-visit some old stamps, put things in order, and all the while, feel inspiration swirling about. Your card conveys 'sympathy' most beautifully: delicate flowers, lovely colours, a pretty sentiment. Simple, heart-warming, touching!
