Happy Tuesday and time for a new Cue Card at CASology!
We have a very special treat for you this week complete with a guest of honor!
This week our our cue word is:
I imagine you have guessed who that guest of honor is, Darnell the creator of the popular catch phrase NBUS! Never Before Used Schuff!
I have never had so much trouble choosing a stamp set for CASology as I did this week--that could be for one or all of these reasons...
- I have a lot of NBUS in my possession
- I wanted to pick just the right schuff
- I was overthinking it
Yup, all of the above!
I bought this set from Simon Says Stamps the night it was released because I wanted the scarf image in the set that bad. Then it has taken me this long to use the set, I still have not inked up the scarf!
Guest Designer: Ashwini
Hope to see you play along with us this week! I am sure you have what you need for this cue!
I am linking my card up to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #3!
.................
Yesterday was my son's 20th birthday!
As most of you know they grow up so fast. I still see him as my little buddy even though he towers over me now. I had such a fun time putting this photo collage together I could have included at least another 100 photos. The very first photo of him playing in the mud is my favourite photo of him ever. He spent hours that day playing in the mud in his rubber boots and he did not get dirty.
I didn't see him yesterday as he is back at school, but his girlfriend took him out for dinner and that is how it should be when you are 20.
We certainly need some warm wishes today, my friend! Love your cozy mittens! Happy Birthday to Ben! Loved seeing him through the years!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card Tracey and love the collection of photos for your sons birthday, such a nice thing to do
ReplyDeleteOh I do love those mittens!!! And the photos of your sweet Ben. Darling card, Tracey... it's cold! get that scarf out!

Adorable card and Happy birthday to your son!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh this is CUTE and now it's been used LOL!! He played in the mud for hours and DIDN'T get dirty...how did THAT happen!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet creation! Love that palette to bits and that little steam swirl and the sequins... I just love it all ;)! And a big happy birthday to your son!
ReplyDeleteDarling card and Happy Birthday to your "baby" LOL. Mine is 14 and I can't believe where the time has gone, and yes, he is almost 6' and still growing! His goal is to use the top of my head as a chin rest LOL!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card!! Love the mittens - now where is that scarf? What a fun collage of pictures of Ben. It's always fun to see all the different ages at once.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Ben.. and love your card.. those mittens are too fun
ReplyDeleteADORABLE! And love the pics!
ReplyDeleteSimplicity rules. So does this card. Darnell will love it. Beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteYou have a very handsome 20-year-old son. I just know that his birthday was special. - Jim
Wonderful card. I just love those cute mittens. They are so tiny and adorable. And, that steam.... Happy birthday to Ben, too.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your son too. Cute photos of him as he is growing and we both know that time gets away from us. Cute, cute card. Love those little mittens.
ReplyDeleteOkay, Tracey, am I going to be the only one who forgot everything else on your post once they saw Ben's birthday treat?! YAUUUUMMMOO! I've said it before, I want you to be my mommy! I adore the collage you put together so lovingly for Ben's special day!
ReplyDeleteAnd I adore your warm cup of cocoa being held between two very cold mittened-hands! I know what that feels like - and tastes like - from my years living in the snow. This winter is particularly cold so far for you snow people, so your card is even more welcoming!
Thank you for your kind words, my friend, and for the honor of playing with you and linking up CASology and NBUS! Honestly, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has so much schtuff that NBUS is on EVERY card. It was easier when stamps were wooden because you just got, for instance, a scarf stamp! Now we get all these dozens of extra stamps and it's easy to put them away and forget about them.
Sorry, I went off on a little NBUS tangent there! Thank you so much for linking your adorable card over at my challenge! Mwah! Darnell
Saw this and had to come tell you how much I love your choice and amount of coloring. Those colors are delicious. As I suppose was DS's dessert. Yum.
