No card today, just popping in with some (lots) photos from my niece's wedding yesterday. Just a small wedding at the perfect venue. Ashley is a graphic designer and Tyler is an architect, they are very artsy so getting married at a quaint small town art gallery was the perfect venue. This is the most unique wedding I have ever been to, so I wanted to share the ambiance.
Definitely a chilly day to be outside, but in September you never know, so there were baskets of blankets all around for guests to grab if they wanted.
The bouquets, handmade by the bride with burlap!
A seat for her Dad, my brother, with the last photo taken of them together before he died.
A stunning wedding gown.
A big brother who officiated her wedding ceremony and planting the wedding tree.
Four siblings--notice the resemblance between her hair and the bridesmaids dresses?
Two cousins who adore each other, Ashley and Brooklyn have always had a special bond.
My niece Lisa checking out her shoes after the ceremony, the ground was a bit soft.
For those who do not like icing, the new thing is the NAKED wedding cake!
Have you ever heard of that?
My great niece Sadie--I just had to share a couple pictures of her cute outfit!!
Thanks for sharing with me.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Hi Tracey! Thanks so much for sharing these with us, I always love seeing wedding photos with all the neat things brides do these days. What a great idea to have blankets available. And a naked wedding cake ... no, I've never heard about that before! I think my version would be a cake of icing, with no cake. Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a special wedding day indeed! I loved all the personal touches; especially the cake and that gorgeous bouquet! Creativity runs in the family. Today must have been bittersweet for you. Your brother would have been proud for sure.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Thanks so much for sharing all the wedding photos with us! The bride and groom look so happy, and I really love their 'special touches'! I think it's great when a couple share who they are...my fave is the naked wedding cake! I don't like most of the standard icings and hate fondant (I usually eat around it), so that was perfect for me :) Glad you had a great time, too!
ReplyDeleteAdorable Photograph and adorable couple and fun party and the cake I want to tryyy...nice Post Tracey...Hugs, Monika

ReplyDeleteSo many uber fun, creative, and unique wedding ideas! TFS, Tracey! Absolutely beautiful! Oh! And no! I've never heard of a naked wedding cake before. Seems a little lazy, on the part of the cake maker, to me. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThank you for showcasing photos of your niece and 'new nephew's' gorgeous, classy wedding! The picture of your brother in his place of honour made me all misty-eyed. So heart-warming! The cake, the wedding tree, her dress and hair, the matching-to-the-hair bridesmaids' dresses and, of course, your darling niece...mega-watt smile all over my face in seeing these. Memories to treasure for the entire family!!
