A card for Festive Friday!
It feels so good to get back into making Christmas cards again. That is where it all started for me about 28 years ago when I bought my first Hero Arts rubber stamps. Looking back at it now my stamping was very amateur but it is a big part of my history. The beginning of doing something I really love.
It feels so good to get back into making Christmas cards again. That is where it all started for me about 28 years ago when I bought my first Hero Arts rubber stamps. Looking back at it now my stamping was very amateur but it is a big part of my history. The beginning of doing something I really love.
I used the inspiration photo as a springboard and cracked open my new Simon Says Ornaments stamps and dies to create a sparkly and shimmery card using the colours from it. I popped two of the ornaments up with foam tape and added the elusive Wink of Stella to them (honest), the smallest ornament was die cut from white glitter paper and the ornament tops were die cut from silver glitter paper. Then I stepped completely out of my comfort zone and added not my usual three sequins but FIVE!
Perfect! I love the silver on the ornaments Tracey. So glad you could play with us at Festive Friday!
ReplyDelete5 sequins! You wild and crazy gal!! LOL! These ornaments look fabulous in pink and I love the touches of sparkle!
ReplyDeleteOoooooooH how I love these pretty little soft pink ornaments! Tracey! The silver glittered tops are the icing on the cake, PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely card I love your pink ornaments and the silver tops are awesome <3
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Tracey... I also bought this set from SSS and cannot wait to play with it - now that I've been so well inspired!

Wow Tracey this is gorgeous. I love the colors and I have this stamp set so I will be remembering this when I finally get a chance to use it.
ReplyDeleteStunning ornaments, Tracey - wow! Just love the pink and silver with all the shimmer! Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious you have really grown your talent in those 28 years! Those are gorgeous ornaments...love the trendy patterns and I agree...I am looking forward to making Christmas cards too!
ReplyDeleteFIVE sequins ... that is so funny! I am so uncomfortable using more than three myself. I try, and then I usually end up taking them off. It always looks great when others do it ... I think my spacing is off. Yours look perfect nestled in between your ornaments! Way to be a fiver!
ReplyDeleteI just loved this photo and had wanted to make another card for it but you know how time goes!! I do love the soft colours here and all that sparkle and I too began with Xmas cards, encouraged by the lovely Lynn!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty Christmas card! In my opinion...You can never go wrong with PINK!
ReplyDeleteDon't think five instead of three sequins is toooooo rash, Tracey ... adds such a gorgeous sparkle to an already delicious card! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteFive sequins? You go, girl :) I love, love, love all the sparkle on this card! Your ornaments are so elegant, and the soft color palette is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt may be 28 years since you started stamping, but I'll bet even your earliest creations were just as pretty as those you create now! You are such a 'Pro', Tracey!!!
