Hope you had a great weekend and rested and rejuvenated for the week ahead!
I have a pretty busy week ahead starting off with Ardyth coming for lunch today and finishing off with my nieces wedding on Saturday. It is all fun busy, those kind of weeks I enjoy!
For my card today I finally inked up my new Mama Elephant In My Heart stamps. I love all the sentiments in this set as well as all the sweet images! I used the sketch from this week's CAS(E) this Sketch and the colours from the current Color Throwdown.
I realized I don't have a flesh toned Copic marker, any suggestions?
So perfectly simple. And expressive. Love this.
ReplyDeleteAwww she's adorable! Fun take on the sketch!
ReplyDeleteI'm no help on the coloring front! I'm afraid of Copics...but man oh man is this little girl adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe little girl image is absolutely darling all in pink! I think she looks just fine without her skin colored. Some people use colored pencils also to color if you have that color for the pencil. It's a darling stamp and sentiment. I just might have to check that one out!:-)
ReplyDeleteAwwww... that's good to know! this little one is just too, too cute! The old adage about the fly on the wall is running through my brain right now, regarding your lunch w/Ardyth!!

Such a cute card Tracey, I love it! I usually use E0000, E00 and E11 for my skins tones. Depends on the image though and what tone I am looking for xx
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely adorable....love those sweet little Mama Elephant stamps!! I sometimes use a little pink chalk on the cheeks of tiny faces to add a little color. Thanks for joining us for the Color Throwdown Challenge!!!
ReplyDeleteI just love that little girl with her arms wide open! Great card!
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable card! (I just got my In My Heart stamp set, can't wait to ink it up.) And her skin color looks perfect to me. May
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea to use your Mama Elephant little girl from this set, Tracey! She is perfect for the sketch, and I love how you colored her with your Copics! For skin, I usually use E00, E50, and R20 for the cheeks...hope that helps :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way on my Sept 3rd blog post, you asked if I used inexpensive perler beads for my DIY Enamel Dots? Yes, I buy a bag of 1,000 for $2.99 at Joann's. They have several different colors to choose from. Here is the link:

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. This is just the cutest thing. I love that little girl, and your choice of sketch is perfect. I have all the copics in flesh tones, I think--Rachel got them, and you can just pop over any time and color to your heart's content.
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love ME stamps, and I'm loving how you've made this little sweetheart all in pink. Reminds me of one of the granddaughters! I've been eyeing this set...and in case you're interested, ME makes fantastic inks too. Enjoy your busy week, and I'm pretty sure we're all jealous that you got to have lunch with Ardyth! Bev

ReplyDeleteOh, this is so super sweet! I love your take on the sketch!
ReplyDeleteI simply ADORE this!! I didn't have any flesh tones either and finally had to break down and buy the skin tone 1 pack. I've been adding to my skin tones ever since.
ReplyDeleteOh, so cute, Tracey! I love that ME set!
ReplyDeleteYou and Ardyth meeting up? Most excellent, and yes, I'm a wee bit envious! Two of my favourite designers - and I'm missing out! Your card here: darling! That little girl is such a honey...
ReplyDeleteHugs!c
I keep managing to talk myself out of this set - but your happy little girl might just put me over the top. For skin tones - I have always used E50, E51 and R20 for the blush - but here's a huge sheet of different tones: http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/blog/gimme-some-skin/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+blogspot/zvpCX+(Simon+Says+Stamp+Blog!)
