Ombre Birthday Faux Shaker

IMG_5574

Happy Friday!

During the last Papertrey Release I really liked the shaker card that Nichole Heady made using No Strings Attached and the Phrase Play die.

So my version is actually a faux shaker. I used Ombre Builders for my background. I put a piece of acetate behind the happy to make it a bit more sturdy and I popped the frame up so it stood out from the background.  I was thinking after I took the photo that I should have glued a few sequins to the card base under the happy cut out.  Next time.  Quick and easy!

I am submitting this to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Let's Be Clear!

Here is a close up just to be CLEAR!

Yesterday my sister had to put her dog down.  Jordy was the biological cousin of my dog Sam.  It was very sudden and a very sad day.  The loss of a pet, especially one with such an amazing personality is so hard . I am sharing a photo of him so you can see what a beautiful dog he was!

RIP Jordy

  4. Such a happy card, Tracey, in contrast with a sad story beneath. :( Poor Jordy, poor your sister, too! It hurts sooooo much to lose a fur baby. Ah, yes, so much. Time heals a bit, but I still get teared up over losing my cat, Smoat, in 2010. Your sister will be in my thoughts.

  21. Such a fun card Tracey. And for once I did get this stamp set. So sad for your sister and you. Jordy looks a lot like my son's dog, Guinness, who also had to be put down this year. So, I feel your loss.
