Happy Tuesday and time for this week's colour palette at the colourQ!
There is something a little bit different this week, can you spot it?
I always forget to use newsprint. I think it is because I am a clean and simple designer and think that newsprint would be messy. For my newsprint this week I used it to create a dimensional star.
I created the dimensional star by die cutting 5 stars in white and one in newsprint, or in my case bookprint. My bookprint is from a romantic poetry collection that I studied in university, it is a William Blake piece. The bookprint is very thin and because I used my Xyron to get full glue coverage on the pieces I needed to apply the glue before die cutting. I did this by gluing a larger piece of the bookprint and adhered it too a white piece of cardstock before die cutting the star.
So pretty Tracey...love the newsprint.
